Can you believe this? In only 1 week our community has provided food for 192 people from 39 individual donation and 7 business donations. This is outstanding and we are so glad to be apart of this community. The calls for food needs are still coming in. Please continue to share the page to get the word out. From the Manistee Senior Center:
FYI! Manistee County 60 years and older!!

There will be a free drive-thru Produce Food Pantry on Friday, May 1st, 9-11am, at the Manistee Senior Center, 457 River St. This produce pantry is for Manistee County seniors 60 years of age or older. It is recommended you arrive by 8:30am. All seniors will stay in their vehicles and social distancing will be implemented. For more information call 231-723-6477.

Hey all!! Guess what!!

Day 1 was pretty outstanding. We must say, when we started putting this together 2 days ago, we never could have imagined the need that we would have here in our community. (So please know, if you’re in need, it’s not just you) We have reached almost 5,000 people with almost 200 shares!! We are completely humbled by all of this, and none of it would be possible, without all of you. We have received messages for support for 16 families. We have had 13 private individuals donate and 5 businesses donate. We have countless people making this possible by sharing our posts and non-stop praying this will succeed. And by God’s grace we received enough food for and delivered it to 27 individuals yesterday. And that was only Day one you guys!!

But that was also only day one you guys!! We only reached about half of the need requested so far. We are asking for support from anyone willing or able to give, please. Below is a recommended list of general items we are in need of if you are looking for suggestions. Thank you again to our entire community! You are all amazing.

We are having an overwhelming response to our program for money donations from all over the area and out of area!! First off, thank you to everyone willing to give! This is amazing. What we would like to suggest to you and anyone else who would like to donate in the form of money, please consider buying a gift card from a local business. To not only support the hungry but also a local family owned business as well.

We would like to put together a list of local area businesses that offer gift cards to make this easier for anyone willing to donate. If you are a local business that sells essentials or food and would like to be on this list for gift card purchasing, please put your information in the comments below. Also a huge thank you to all our area businesses working together with the Wellston Medical Center to make this possible!

YOU GUYS!!! If we could do this in any community in the world, it would still be this one! You guys are amazing!! In less than 19 hours, we have reached 3225 people. We have had 146 shares. We have over 200 people following and getting updates. We have 5 families that have been nominated and 7 families have pledged donation with 1 donation delivered! That’s amazing!! That’s what happens when a community works together! Keep sharing, keep messaging and keep up the great work!! Thank you all!
