Wells Area Food Shelf The Wells Area Food Shelf was started in 1983 to serve the Faribault County, Minnesota area. We accept food donations on Tuesdays from 3:00 - 6:00.

A non-profit organization, it provides food for those in the county who are in need of food for their families. Monetary donations are accepted in person and online by clicking on the Shopping Button on this page or by going to our website wellsareafoodshelf.org and clicking on the "Donate" button.

Wonderful News: Wells Area Food Shelf received the 2025 Improving Access to Health Award for its "welcoming, multilingual, and health-focused" service to area residents.

The award, given by the Stronger Together Coalition of Faribault and Martin Counties, also acknowledges WAFS's earned designation as a Minnesota SuperShelf, a name given to food shelves that offer an especially "welcoming and respectful environment."

On December 11 Stronger Together Coalition leader Niles Jordan and member Kaley Hernandez presented a certificate to WAFS Board members.
