HOLY. COW. 😅 Fair Week is officially OVER and I feel like I can finally breathe again.

If things have been a little quiet around here lately… this is why. 😂 Lorain County Fair week is always an absolute whirlwind and, for a minute there, it pretty much takes over my entire life.

But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Something you may not know is that every year, I choose to donate a portion of what I earn photographing Fair Week right back to the Junior Fair Board.

Because this week has never been just another photography job for me.

It's about the kids. The ridiculous amount of work they put in. The families cheering them on. The friendships, traditions, early mornings, late nights and memories being made all week long.

And I feel pretty dang lucky that I get to document it. 📸

I also have to give a HUGE shoutout to K&L Processing for always stepping up and sponsoring a portion of the photography coverage. Your continued support helps make documenting this week possible, and it does not go unnoticed.

Now… I'm going to catch my breath, work through the mountain waiting for me, and get back to showing you guys what I've been creating behind the scenes. 😂

2026 Junior Fair Board — Fair Review & Feedback

The purpose of this review is to reflect on the 2026 Fair, recognize what went well, identify areas that need improvement, and begin planning for an even better 2027 Fair.

We want honest feedback — but we also want solutions. If you identify a concern, please take the opportunity to suggest a possible solution or way we could improve it.

This is a space for constructive feedback, ideas, and open communication. We also want to hear the positives and recognize the people, programs, departments, events, and improvements that made the 2026 Fair successful.

This form is broken into departments, along with small and large animal auctions. Any auction related concern or solution will be sent to livestock sale committee if necessary. We will not be doing any follow-ups unless absolutely required. This is simply for feedback!

Thank you for taking the time to provide thoughtful feedback and for helping us continue to make the Junior Fair better for our exhibitors, families, volunteers, advisors, club leaders, and community.

ATTENTION JFB MEMBERS!

📣MANDATORY JFB WORK SESSION — TOMORROW!

MONDAY, AUGUST 31ST

Tomorrow is a MANDATORY work session day, and we need everyone’s help!

We will have two different times to work:
🕘 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
🕔 5:00 PM–9:00 PM

Please plan to attend one or both sessions! We have a LOT to get done, including finishing the Expo teardown and cleaning up throughout the barns.

We understand that school starts tomorrow for many of you, and some have already started. We get it! Even if you can only make it for an hour or two, every set of hands makes a difference.

The more people we have helping, the faster we can get everything done and get everyone home.
