It just so happens that we will be holding a membership appreciation event at this same time. Bring your membership card for a free caboose ride, hot dog and pop. Join us June 20th, for caboose rides. This is a great event for the diehard rail fans in your family. Once common on every train, the caboose is rarely found in modern railroading. The 2026 operating season is about to begin!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted, but looking back here’s one of my favorite photos from 2025. It takes a whole lot of behind the scenes effort to make these sort of events possible. This work is accomplished by individuals who come together for the purpose of breathing new life into an “abandoned” railroad. It is a tremendous undertaking to try and acquire and rehabilitate an entire railroad. There is always more we’d like to accomplish. We always wish we had a little more money, a little more time, or a few more volunteers. We are grateful to all of you who support us; those who ride the trains, those who sacrifice weekends with their families, and those members who year after year send in their membership dues as a sign of support for this project.
