's annual trip to Kamp Kenan is just around the corner!

We'll be visiting on President's Day, February 17 🗓️

Located in Jupiter, FL Kamp Kenan is creating a new generation of educated animal enthusiasts with their educational programs and content. We are grateful to Kamp Kenan for opening its doors to us for an unforgettable day of animal encounters and conservation conversations! 🐊🐢

was proud to host 15 members of the Turtle and Tortoise Preservation Group for a three-day tour across some of Florida’s best facilities, collections, and natural areas 🐢

The first annual was a rousing success, filled with immersive and collaborative learning, with a focus on educating the next generation of preservationists ✨

In addition to raising funds for like-minded organizations, organizes experiential and educational opportunities for people of all ages.

It was a well spent, as organized a field trip with a group of enthusiastic young students to Kamp Kenan in Jupiter, FL 🐢🐊🦎

A reptile breeding and conservation haven, Kamp Kenan protects more than 500 exotic and endangered reptiles, with a mission focused on educating children about the value of these creatures and the challenges they face in the modern world.

Kamp Kenan is led by Kenan Harkin, a former pro BMX rider who believes that conservation is an action sport, too. Thank you, Kenan for educating the next generation with some incredible hands-on, experiential learning 👏

Some scenes from our visit to ✨

We are so fortunate to have McCarthys in our South Florida backyard.

McCarthys is a sanctuary for nearly 200 animals. Their rehabilitation program is most unique and includes a 50’ long raptor flight 🦅

Their tours are incredibly hands-on and educational, and is proud to support them.

It was an incredible moment when this Red-Footed Tortoise hatched right in Charlie's hands during an educational talk 🤩

Red-Footed Tortoise eggs typically incubate for 110-140 days, and hatching is announced by splits in the eggs. Some hatchlings are born with a large yolk sac and remain in the egg for a few more days until it is completely consumed, but this little one was ready to enter the world!

hosted riders from Southside Equestrian LLC Pony Camp Wednesday for a field trip, educating an enthusiastic group of young equestrians about conservation ✨

Interacting with our creep of Red Footed Tortoises is always a crowd favorite, but these eager students also fed Vietnamese Red-Breasted Leaf Turtles; met our youngest hatchlings; and spent some quality time with our resident Striped Skunk, Isabel 🐢🦨
