This friday will be an awesome market. Not only will we have several awesome vendors with new goods (hello fall and Halloween), but Bells and Whistles .and.whistles.970 will be there twisting balloons. The first 40 customers will get a free one courtesy of the Main Street Program!

And last but certainly not least, the Liberty 250 exhibit will be on display this Friday, September 4, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in conjunction with Main Street Market. The exhibit will continue to be on display through Saturday, September 5, until 4 p.m. A children’s table will also be on site which highlights children of the American Revolution.

The Liberty 250 exhibit is a traveling 180-linear-foot display featuring 15 large-scale panels that tell the powerful story of America’s War for Independence. It highlights the colonial unrest that led to the American Revolution and the forging of a new nation, with a special emphasis on the extraordinary courage of veterans and the people who served and sacrificed for the cause of liberty.

❗8/28 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: ASPHALT REMOVAL TO START 8/31❗

Coulson Excavating will start removing asphalt from the work zone on the south side of Cleveland Avenue on Monday, August 31.

A milling machine will move down the middle of the work zone, grinding up the existing asphalt and moving it to a truck for removal. This means the Cleveland Avenue work zone will be active starting Monday.

Direct access to Downtown businesses will not be impacted by this stage of the project.

Neither will the existing traffic flow through Downtown Wellington:

• Intersections at 1st Street, 3rd Street and 6th Street will remain open
• Intersections at 2nd Street, 4th Street and 5th Street will remain closed

Parking is available:

• Between Soul Squared Brewing (3740 W. Cleveland Ave.) and Rose & Co. (3734 W. Cleveland Ave.)
• Between the Larimer County Sheriff's Office (3735 W. Cleveland Ave.) and North Poudre Irrigation (3729 W. Cleveland Ave.)
• On side streets north of the north-side alley and south of the south-side alley

Drivers can avoid the construction zone by using:

6th Street for north/south travel
• Harrison Avenue for east/west travel
• Roosevelt Avenue for east/west travel

STORM DRAIN INSTALLATION UPDATE
Crews working to install the drainage pipe as part of the project’s storm drainage infrastructure improvements turned the corner August 28 from 5th Street to Cleveland Avenue.

WHAT'S NEXT
Crews will continue to prepare Cleveland Avenue for storm drainage infrastructure installation and streetscape improvements. Work also continues on 5th Street with the installation of storm inlets and preparation for a mill and overlay that will bring the surface pavement to a finished product.

CONSTRUCTION ZONE REMINDER
The only people allowed inside construction zones for this project are those authorized to be there by Coulson Excavating. Residents and visitors are reminded to stay out of construction zones when moving around Downtown Wellington, not to move any cones or barriers in or around a construction zone, and to follow all instructions given by traffic control workers. This includes e-bike and e-scooter riders.
