Well I really don’t know where to begin to express my appreciation to this couple. David and Christy Sassman first came to Panfork in early May with Texans On Mission-Camp Builders. At that time they spent 3 weeks working with the team. Early on during that time they approached D’Lora and I about the possibility of staying around and working for a good bit of the summer. Of course we said yes and so other than a few days of leaving to take care of other responsibilities they have been with us, volunteering, since early May.
They have done a very wide variety of jobs that I won’t take time to list but I will just say that they have done whatever we’ve asked. And if that isn’t enough they have already volunteered and tentatively committed to returning next June to help out when, God willing, we officially get Panfork up and running again.
In their own words, they have decided to adopt Panfork. They sense something very special here and they very much believe in our mission. I will also add that several of the TBM Camp Builders have expressed that they sense something very special here. Some have expressed we are their favorite camp to come to.
Pray for David and Christy as they are actually retired, living in their RV, traveling, serving and ministering full time as God leads and gives opportunity!
