Come one come all to Friday nights football game! Come cheer on the band, football team and cheerleaders as we take on the Firelands Falcons. While you're there, buy a goodie or 2 or 3 from our boosters bake sale.
*We are also in need of donations! Any parents, friends or family that would like to donate something sweet, we will gladly take it!
*We will have people in and out of the concession stand all day so you can drop your donation off at any point on Friday. If no one is there, we will have a table set up for you to leave it.
*Please put your donations on or in something disposable so we don't need to figure out who the container belongs to.

Happy FriYAY!!! We have some important information for ALL BAND PARENTS!

September 25th/HOMECOMING PARADE

-band students report time is 4:30
-parade line up starts at 5:25
-parade leaves promptly at 5:40

***IF YOU KNOW a 7th or 8th grade band member who's not already marching, PLEASE PASS THIS INFO TO THEM.*****

-they report at 5:00 to recieve their shirts and load their instruments.
-we need 5 or so additional parents to drive in the parade. I can fit 5 or 6 kids in mine and there are 30 total, if they all come.
-if you would like to donate a bag of candy to throw from the cars, please send a bag in. It's not required but they enjoy it.
-Have fun with it. If you want to decorate your car a little...by all means! They're shirts say "McCormick Middle School Band" if you make posters.

Friday October 9th/"PEEWEE NIGHT".
-we will be doing a BAKE SALE!
-please feel free to send in your favorite or easiest dessert. We did pie last year and it was a hit although lots of people just asked for cookies, etc. So we're accepting everything!
-we will need 1 or 2 people to man either the bake tent or the "store" of the concession stand.

We are 6 only days away from our first band competition!!! If you are in or near Louisville on Saturday the 19th, please come support your Marching Dukes!

*SPECTATORS*
-The competition starts at 4:00, we perform at 4:30
-Parking is at 1201 S. Nickelplate St. It is a 2 block walk to the stadium.
-AVOID SOUTH ST. IT WILL BE BERRICADED!!
-Admission $10 Adults, $7.00 Students/Seniors.
-Programs $5.00
-Concessions will be available
-awards are at 9:15 (so plan accordingly if you're staying)

*PARENTS*
-band kids report to our high school at NOON for practice and prep.
-the boosters will be providing a sandwich, side and drink for dinner but PLEASE send extra money and or food as they will be gone for roughly 11 hours!
-Please plan on cheering loud for our kiddos!! However the OMEA is pretty strict on noise makers and ask that they stay home. The band can be docked points.
-please enjoy the other bands! There will be several bands at this competition and each is different and amazing.

Our musical notes are going up, and we LOVE seeing this project come together! ❤️🤍

Families, alumni, community members and local businesses can purchase a personalized musical note and become a permanent part of our Band Booster concession stand.

🎵 Double Line Note — $40
🎵 12 characters per line
🎵 12” x 12” musical note

Put your family name, student’s name, graduation year, business name or short message on a note and help us continue filling the concession stand with the names of the people who support our band!

Sorry for the language but, he tries the band donuts at the 6 minute mark and his reaction is fantastic. 😆 It's exactly what we strive for every year. Plus, it's awesome that he tries truly local food places. Our 60th anniversary was in 2024 but we weren't able to celebrate. In 2029 it'll be our 60th anniversary in the building that was built just for us where our tent use to be. We hope to have some fun little things planned. 62 years and counting!

🍩 DONUT BOOTH REMINDERS 🍩

It’s officially Donut Booth time! Before coming in for your shift, please remember:

👕 What to Wear

* Hair MUST be pulled back at all times.
* A hat or hair net is required. Hair nets are available at the booth, or you may wear your own hat.
* No open-toed shoes. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
* No shorts or tank tops.- shorts have to be school appropriate
* Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty — and remember, it does get HOT in the booth!
* No loose jewelry.

🧼 While Working

* Aprons and gloves will be provided.
* Wash your hands often and anytime you change tasks, return from a break, etc.
* NO CELL PHONES while working. Please keep phones put away during your entire shift.

✍️ SIGN IN
Please make sure you sign in when you arrive for your shift. This is important so we have an accurate record of everyone who worked.

🍩🎺 ATTENTION BAND FAMILIES… we’re sounding the alarm!

Our Wellington Marching Dukes are ready to bring the music… but our Donut Booth still needs a few more helping hands! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

We have 8 amazing seniors — Kyle, McKenzie, Trayce, Bella, Amelia, Bob, Blake & Ash —getting ready for their final season with the Marching Dukes. ❤️🎶 Let’s help make their last Lorain County Fair Donut Booth a great one!

We’ve made HUGE progress filling our volunteer schedule, but there are still shifts that need some love — especially a few of those **evening and weekend shifts.** 👀

🍩 No musical talent required.
🍩 Powdered sugar is basically guaranteed.
🍩 Fun people included.
🍩 And you’ll be supporting some pretty awesome kids!
