VWD Connect Foundation’s own Dr. Tung Wynn conducted an oral presentation of the foundation-sponsored Consensus Definition for Severe Von Willebrand Disease at the 2026 International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) Congress on Sunday, July 12th in Paris, France.

At ISTH Congresses, thousands of the world’s leading experts on thrombosis, hemostasis and vascular biology come together to present the most recent advances, exchange the latest science and discuss the newest clinical applications designed to improve patient care.

As VWD Connect Foundation celebrates its 10th annual conference, we want to take a moment to share a message from the director regarding an interaction that occurred during this patient conference:

A group of non-conference attendees was taking a video in the conference area when our staff asked them to leave. We want to take responsibility for the way our request was communicated. It was discussed why we wanted them to exit the marked restricted area before what is shown in the video, and Jeanette, our director, explained the sensitivity of our conference. We have responded to the original poster explaining the situation and our intent and apologized for how it was communicated. Our number one goal is to prioritize patient confidentiality and privacy while attending this conference. Our mission is always to support you. We appreciate your understanding.
