Wellington Professional Firefighters – IAFF Local 5389 would like to thank everyone who came out to support our pancake breakfast yesterday! We had a great time serving breakfast, meeting community members, and giving families the opportunity to check out the fire trucks and spend some time with their local firefighters.

We’re grateful to be part of such a supportive community and appreciate everyone who took time out of their morning to join us.

A special thank you to T BAR for donating the sausage for the event! We look forward to seeing you all again!

Never Forget. 🇺🇸

25 years later, we continue to remember September 11, 2001 — a day that forever changed our nation and our fire service.

We honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to save others. We remember the police officers, EMS providers, military members, and all those who lost their lives, as well as the families and communities forever impacted by that day.

Their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness continue to inspire us to serve with honor and never forget the cost of answering the call.

Wellington Fire Local 5389 stands with the fire service family and our nation in remembering those we lost.

Today, we honor the 343 FDNY members and one New York City fire patrolman killed on Sept. 11, 2001, the thousands of others who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks, and all those who have died since from WTC-related illnesses.

Today, the members of Wellington Fire Protection District honor and remember the heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than BBQ's and the unofficial start of summer — it is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who never made it home. Their dedication to protecting others continues to inspire us in our own service to this community every day.

We are grateful for the freedoms they defended and the families who carry their legacy forward.
