Outermost Contra Outermost Contra presents contra dances every third Friday of the month. Check our website for current information and to sign up for email notifications.

Dances are generally held at Wellfleet Preservation Hall. Beginners welcome. Come out to the contra dance, dance the old social dances of New England, accompanied by the traditional dance repertoires of New England, Canada, the British Isles and Appalachia. Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork, dances are led by a caller, and the music is always live. Outermost Contra is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels.
