This year’s theme for the 8th grade dance on *Friday June 12th* is BEACH BASH! Think bright colors, cool slushies, corn hole, tropical leis, a Photo Booth, pizza and snacks. We cannot wait to celebrate!

8th Grade Civics Fair Day was one for the books!

On Thursday, our 8th graders stepped into the role of advocates, researchers, and changemakers as they presented their Civics Action Projects to parents and community members. Students chose an issue they care about, dug deep to understand it, and developed ideas for how to make a difference.

The real magic of the day? The conversations. Visitors asked thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions - and our students rose to the occasion with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

This is what learning looks like when it’s connected to the real world: curiosity, courage, and a belief that your voice matters.

Today is Deutschfest - 2:30-3:30pm
Please join us in helping with this wonderful cultural event, co-hosted by our German teacher Frau Alexandra Bennett and WMS parents.

This event takes place in the WMS Cafeteria. Students will enjoy traditional German, Swiss and Austrian foods, play games, make crafts and watch performances by WMS German students. All WMS students and faculty are welcome!

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? Friday was the Eastern Orthodox Christian observance of Good Friday and Sunday is the Eastern Orthodox Christian holiday of Easter. On Good Friday, also known as Great Friday or Holy Friday, some people spend time in church services and often fast on this day. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus after having died by crucifixion. It is the most important holiday in Eastern Orthodoxy as it notes the moment Jesus’ divinity was confirmed as he rose from the dead. We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays a “thoughtful Good Friday” and a “happy Easter”.

Spring Has Sprung at WMS! 🌼 The WMS Garden Team would like to thank parent and commercial landscaper, Brian Paige of Paige Landscape Company, for providing the colorful spring plantings outside the school doors.

The town has recently mulched the perennial garden beds as well, thanks to our dedicated town gardener, Susy Jordan. We hope you enjoy the signs of spring popping up everywhere at WMS! 🌸

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? Friday is the Christian observance of Good Friday, and Sunday is the Christian holiday of Easter. Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus, and Easter commemorates the day that Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead. Good Friday, one of the holiest days for Christians, is a sorrowful holiday, which is spent in reflection. Easter is a day of joy and celebration.
