The WPTCO is so excited to kick off a week dedicated to celebrating the incredible staff who make our schools such a special place every single day.

Throughout the week, we love to sprinkle in little surprises, treats, and moments of recognition as a small token of our appreciation. It’s just one way we can say thank you for the care, dedication, and heart the Welches staff brings to students and our community.

This week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to share a little extra thanks with the people who make a difference each day, the teachers, bus drivers, office staff, custodians, and so many more who help our schools run smoothly. 💗💗💗

✨The Thank You Ticket Store needs your help!✨

We’re looking for new or gently used donations so students can “shop” with their hard-earned Thank You Tickets!

From fidgets and games to craft supplies and dress-up items, every donation helps make the TYT Store a fun and exciting reward for our K-8 students.

Donations can be dropped at the school office during school hours.

FAMILY FORMAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Sorry Everyone! The WPTCO has decided to cancel the Family Dance because of the high amount of sick kids (and volunteers!) at school right now. Given the typical turnout for these, we feel its best to cancel. As of now the MS will still be having their dance since things seem better on that side of the school.

🍎 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗 🍎
We’re several weeks into our Snack Sack program, and thanks to this incredible community, we’ve been able to send home 45–50 snack sacks each week for students who could use a little extra support.

𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙉𝘼𝙋 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙖𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙 — especially during the holidays — so we’ll continue this program through winter break and reevaluate in January based on student and community needs.

Each Snack Sack includes simple, shelf-stable items that are discreet, easy to pack, and manageable for students. If you’re able to contribute, this week’s needs are:
�🍎 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁: 50+ fruit cups, 50+ applesauce cups or pouches�🥨 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀: 100 individual chips, crackers, or similar items�🌅 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀: muffins, cereal bars, boxed cereal cups�🍜 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆-𝘁𝗼-𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀: Chef Boyardee, Cup of Noodles

🍏 Food donations can be dropped by the school office Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm. We pack snack sacks on Thursdays and send them home with students on Fridays.

As we head into winter break, there are several ways families can help the WPTCO support our students and classrooms!

We’re collecting 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 & 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 decorations to brighten the middle school for the winter dance on 12/5. We're requesting:

✨ Working lights
✨ Inflatables
✨ Artificial trees
✨ Blue or silver wrapping paper & ribbon

If you’re refreshing your holiday décor this year, we’d love to give your gently used items a new home!

With SNAP benefits recently suspended and food security uncertain, we continue to prepare snack sacks for students who need extra support over the weekends. Donations of shelf-stable, kid-friendly foods are appreciated, including:

✨ Easy-to-heat meals: Easy Mac, ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs
✨ Shelf-stable fruits: applesauce cups, fruit cups, squeeze pouches
✨ Shelf-stable treats: fruit snacks, cookies, fruit leather
✨ Granola or protein bars
✨ Breakfast items: cereal cups, oatmeal packets, breakfast bars, pastries
✨ Grain snacks: crackers, popcorn, chips
✨ Shelf-stable proteins: meat sticks, dried edamame, roasted chickpeas

Support our students by purchasing a holiday wreath from Welches Mountain Building Supply. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far! Wreaths remain available at the hardware store while supplies last.

Additionally, mark your calendars for December 2nd and 4th for wreath sales during school drop-off and pick-up:
✨ Morning drop-off: 8:30–9:30 AM
✨ Afternoon pick-up: 3:30–4:30 PM

All proceeds from wreath sales support important school programs and activities. Thank you for helping make this season supportive and bright for all Welches students!

Its that time of year again! Our wreaths will be here soon (Nov.25th at Welches Mountain Building Supply) and all proceeds go directly toward benefitting our local school! Funds will primarily go to the MS 8th Grade Promotion and the WPTCO general fund that we use for all the fun events we put on at the school!
