Deadline to Register is this Wednesday, October 16th!

Here we go! The Little Linksters Golf Academy at Wekiva Golf Club is pleased to be hosting our first PGA Family Golf event on October 20th!

What is PGA Family Golf?

Well, it's a spin-off of the wildly popular PGA Jr. League, but teams are made up of adults and kids from the same family who play in a scramble format.

In our first event, we will have two-person teams made up of one adult and one child from the same family playing in a 9-hole scramble. The event will start shotgun at 4:30 p.m. on October 20th.

PGA FEE:

There is a one-time per calendar year $25 charge per team to the PGA of America. This helps with event swag and awards. **THIS FEE IS COLLECTED WHEN YOU REGISTER AT THE LINK ABOVE.

LITTLE LINKSTERS FEE:

The base fee is $60 per team, with discounts for members and members who pay a trial fee. **THIS FEE WILL BE COLLECTED BY LITTLE LINKSTERS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. STAY TUNED!

This long-standing program has been ongoing at special needs schools in Central Florida, such as Celandine Life Prep Academy, for many years, but due to coach and funding shortages, our on-course version of the program has been on hiatus for a while, for many years, but due to coach and funding shortages, our on-course version of the program has been in hiatus for a while.

Calling all special needs organizations in Central Florida...

Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida, UCF CARD - Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, Special Olympics Florida, Special Needs Parenting Florida, Best Buddies Florida, Bright Feats Directory...Spread the Word!

For now, we are asking for a minimal $10 fee at registration, but that fee will disappear in time!

Limited to the first 15 kiddos who register for each session. If more interest is shown, more times on Saturday will be explored.

Little Linksters Annual Best P*e Wee Golf Swing in the World Video Contest will be taking contest submissions through the end of this month!

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this contest, as with everything Little Linksters does, is to have fun. This contest proves that golf, among the youngest of golfers, is alive and well; we want to celebrate this by showing the world your child’s swing! We understand that with any contest, individuals will be very excited about the chances of winning, but please remember that all of the kids are winners by having a club in their little hands at such a young age! Keep in mind that this is a game that just so happens to be one that can be played for a lifetime…with all this in perspective, enjoy making the videos with your little ones, and as always, enjoy the time with your family!

AGE GROUPS:

Open to the following age groups:

Under 3
3-4 years
5-6 years
7-8 years
9-10 years
11-12 years

VIDEO CRITERIA:

- No video can be more than 60 seconds in length
- Videos need to include 2 Swings Face-on & 2 Down-the-Line
- Videos need to be uploaded to YouTube and marked public
- Please include the YouTube link to your registration
- Registration forms must be completely filled out to be eligible
- Registration is open WORLDWIDE!!
- Slow motion CAN be used, so long as 2 Face-on & 2 Down-the-Line swings at regular speed are included

JUDGING:

Little Linksters staff makes the preliminary judging cuts down to the final 10 videos in each age group. Those who make the initial cut will then move on to our celebrity judging panel for selection.

Winners will be notified prior to the official announcement of the winners. This will be done via Facebook on the Little Linksters Fan Page. Winners will not be allowed to share the news of their win until after the official announcement is made. Failure to do so could result in disqualification. Only the Top 3 in each age group will be announced.
