WVFF Regional Expert Panel to Host Virtual Public Listening Session on June 16th
The Region 1 Expert Panel of the West Virginia First Foundation (WVFF) is pleased to announce a virtual public Listening Session taking place on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, at 4:00pm. This event will offer members of the community the opportunity to meet with their regional panel, ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about the panel's role in the upcoming round of WVFF grant funding initiatives.
The event is designed to encourage open dialogue and idea sharing between the panel and the communities across Brooke, Hancock, Ohio, Marshall and Wetzel counties. Attendees will be able to engage directly with panel members, gain insights into current WVFF funding announcements, and share their perspectives in an open, welcoming forum.
"Connecting directly with the people we serve is essential for our growth and direction as a young foundation," said Dr. Steve Corder, WVFF Region 1 Board Member. "These listening sessions are a fantastic opportunity to gather genuine community feedback and innovative ideas to ensure our future initiatives truly reflect local needs."
The event will be held virtually and is accessible via the link provided. Organizations seeking funding, local leaders, and community members wanting to learn more are all encouraged to attend.

Cruise for the Community – Revolution Car Club
The wind tried to stop us, blowing over barriers.

The rain is trying to scare away the car community.

But here's the thing..
You can't stop a community that refuses to quit.

Tomorrow isn't just about cars. It's about neighbors helping neighbors. It's about showing up for our kids, our communities, and the people who need us most. Every obstacle that's been thrown our way has only made us work harder.

So bring your classics. Bring your muscle. Bring your imports. Bring your trucks. Most importantly, bring your heart.

Rain or shine, the engines will rumble, the community will gather, and together we'll prove that nothing is stronger than people united for a good cause.
See you tomorrow at Mountaineer Casino Resort .
You can move barriers. You can't move our determination.

Supporting foster families strengthens our entire community. 💜
Not everyone is called to become a foster parent — but everyone can support children and families in care.

You can:
✔ Encourage foster families
✔ Share awareness posts
✔ Donate needed items
✔ Offer meals or support
✔ Help reduce stigma
✔ Simply say “thank you”

Small acts of kindness can make a big impact for children and caregivers navigating challenging circumstances.

This National Foster Care Month, let’s continue building a community where every child feels supported and valued

Could you be the person who changes a child’s story? 💜

Foster parenting doesn’t require perfection — it requires compassion, patience, and a willingness to care.

Children in foster care need safe adults who can provide encouragement, stability, and support during difficult seasons of life.

Even if you’re not sure where to begin, learning more is a great first step.
