POWER OF PRAYER: University of Maryland researchers found that just 5 minutes of in-person prayer reduced pain and anxiety more than music in a randomized trial of 180 patients.

The relief lasted weeks — with anxiety benefits still statistically significant at the 6-week mark.

What's more, 97% of participants said they were neutral or supportive of prayer being offered during medical visits.

Each year, we challenge our students by hosting a Scripture Contest near the end of the school year. Students are encouraged to memorize Scripture, and some were challenged to look up the passages in their own Bibles. Once students reached half of their point goal, they earned a $5 gift card. Those who achieved their full point goal were rewarded with a trip to Sky Zone!

We are incredibly proud of every student who worked diligently to memorize Scripture. Here are a few students who were excited to share some of their favorite verses with us. Enjoy! ❤️🥹🙏🏼🙌🏼

We’d like to give a huge thank you to these wonderful ladies from Memorial Baptist Church Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church for faithfully coming each third Thursday of the month to serve our kids. This week was their final meal visit before we head into summer break.

Our kids always look forward to their favorite meal. Chicken nuggets, nachos with cheese, bananas, and cupcakes to celebrate birthdays. We are so grateful for their kindness, consistency, and love poured into our children throughout the year.
