At our last membership meeting, we hosted Gwen from OUBMichigan - an organization in Grand Rapids that provides education for blind and visually impaired youth in an interactive camp setting. Gwen’s presentation was both informative about the challenges that her campers face, as well as uplifting in showing many of the ways they are able to learn and grow in such a fun environment. Gwen is a proud Lion, and OUB’s mission is closely aligned to the Lions mission We Serve. 🦁

We’ve been busy lately! 🦁

Spring is always the beginning of our club’s biggest activities and we’re off to a fun start!

In April, we had a membership table set up at the Weidman Spring Fling and attended the District 11-E1 Annual Convention.

In May, we started off our food truck season at the Wheatland Traditional Arts Festival! Our truck will also be at the Weidman Sawmill Days Festival in July and Wheatland Music Festival in September.

At our membership meeting yesterday evening, we were joined by Leah Ryckman and Lucinda Clark from Toys for Tots, Isabella & Clare counties. 🧸 They shared a captivating presentation about their program and its positive impact on our community. As the holiday season draws near, please consider contributing if you see a donation box or can! 🎁 Our club members also demonstrated their generosity by bringing toys to donate.
