Beginning today, we will be replacing many of the community's electric meters. The old meters are aging and have reached the end of their service life. If your meter is scheduled for replacement, Donovan will knock on your door to notify you that your power will be temporarily disconnected. If you are not home or do not answer the door, the replacement will still be completed, and your power will be out for a short period of time. Our goal is to replace as many meters as possible on the same day that meter readings are scheduled. Additional meter replacements are expected to occur around November 5, December 5, and future meter reading dates as needed.

The office will be open today, Monday, October 5, during normal business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Contractors are still completing work on the ramp railings, so please use caution when entering the building.

Office Closure Notice:

The office will remain closed tomorrow, October 1, 2026, due to ongoing ramp construction. Emily will still be working and can be reached by phone. If you need immediate assistance, please call the office at 352-585-6280.

Please note that the due date for October 2026 maintenance fees will be extended by one day for each regular business day the office remains closed after October 1st.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete these improvements.

There are some residents who are understandably upset about the utility company trimming trees near power lines. However, please keep in mind that utility companies have a legal easement to access and maintain utility lines, including on private property, as outlined per Florida law and in our governing documents.

It is also important to remember that this work is being done for the safety and reliability of our community's electrical service. Regular tree trimming helps prevent power outages, reduces storm-related damage, and improves access for emergency repairs during severe weather events. While the trimming may not always be aesthetically pleasing, it plays a vital role in helping keep the power on and our community safe during storms.

Also, please be respectful to the utility workers. Please DO NOT yell at them. They are simply performing the work required to maintain the power lines and help ensure reliable electrical service for the community. We appreciate their efforts and ask that all residents treat them with courtesy and respect while they are working in Camp-A-Wyle.

Reminder: Tomorrow morning is the FINAL 2027 Budget Workshop!

The final 2027 Budget Workshop will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clubhouse. This is your last opportunity to participate in the development of the 2027 Budget. We encourage all residents to attend, your input is valuable and important to the process.

The Budget Vote Meeting will be held on November 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clubhouse.
