I had an incident last week with Rocko and Peanut. They got into a tussle and both got injured. I don't know what prompted it. Peanut has never instigated a confrontation, and Rocko has never gone after Peanut. It was before feeding time. I was resting in bed in the late afternoon watching YouTube videos when I heard something. I turned down the volume and only heard some branches banging on the side of the house. It was quite windy outside. I decided to feed the dogs their supper. While preparing their meals, Peanut came limping to her spot. I called for Rocko, but there was no response. I found Rocko in a recliner with blood on his cheek. Peanut had no apparent injury but the limp. I put antibiotic ointment on Rocko's injury. Peanut had a puncture wound on her left knee. I put ointment on her wound. They both ate. I feed them on opposite sides of the room. Peanut's limping got worse over the next few days, and her knee swelled up. I had pain meds and oral antibiotics on hand. After a few more days of cold wraps and antibiotic salve, the infection on her knee drained, and they have both healed completely. Rocko has caused a few issues with other dogs in the past 7 years but never with Peanut. I'll never know what caused this incident.

Whenever I run errands Peanut usually greets me when I return home.

I'm spending several hours a day with Lil Cloud. I finally figured out a way to give her meds to her without a battle. I grind up the pills and mix the liquid meds in her food. I also mix salmon lick treats in the mix. Before she was put on meds she was very skittish and wasn't eating much. Most of the dry would go to waste along with her wet food. Now she comes out of her safe place as soon as she hears me come out. Before she wouldn't come out until I was gone and only nibble a little. Now she quickly comes out and scarfs down everything, even with the meds mixed in. I stay with her for quite a while changing her diaper several times a day and loving on her and she recipricats the affection back to me. I exercise her back legs and she pulls them away giving me hope. When I pinch her legs she gives me a little nip indicating she's getting some feeling back. Not a mean nip, just a nip that she feels something. She's resisting my bending, pulling and manipulating her legs, not just involuntary reflex. I can only hope she gets more use of her legs back as time goes on

Lil' Cloud hanging in there. Three vets later over the past 3 months and over$3,000 later and still have no answers. After many many hours I may have found out the issue. Neosporosis in cats. Non of the other diagnosis made sense to me. My hypothisis explains 100% of her symptoms. Donations so far has covered only 20% of costs so far. The rest comes out of my social security. If you can help with her Friday appointment please PayPal [email protected] or the Donate button at the top of the page, thanks.

The hardest thing about losing Cocoa is that he was the last of the dogs that Karen held and loved. Peanut, Tut, Peanut, R***r and Rocko came after Karen passed. Sadly Tut and R***r are no longer with me and in Karen's loving grace now
