We were honored to serve breakfast to 17 veterans and 26 spouses/guests on Sunday morning, November 10 - ham & cheese omelets, pancakes, fresh fruit, as well as coffee and orange juice.
We thank all veterans for their service! We will be back again next year! ❤️

This event was possible due to the commitment and work of the following members: Tom, Alan, Brenda, Sharon, Jeanette, Peggy, Richard, Beth, Trent, Cam, Lyra, & David. Thanks for devoting much of your weekend to your Lodge! 😊💕

At our regular meeting last night, we draped our charter and observed a moment of silence in honor of our longtime member, Melvin Dawson Sr., who recently passed away. Melvin was about a month shy of reaching 93 years of age and a member of W**d Lodge #1269 for 64 years.
We send our condolences to his wife, Bertilla, and the rest of the Dawson family. ❤️

We held the 3rd 2024 W**d Community Blood Drive in our hall on September 25. 13 W**d Community Heroes successfully contributed. Vitalant collected 11 whole blood and 2 power red donations, for a total of 15 donations. These donations have the potential to save up to 35 lives! Thanks to all of you who took time out of your day to provide life saving blood!
Special thanks to Holy Family Catholic Church Spiritual Enrichment for hosting the refreshment and registration tables. Toni, Marilyn, and Lorraine did a fantastic job!
Our last Blood Drive for this year will be Wednesday, November 27.

We made quick work of our grounds clean-up this chilly morning. Thanks to members Richard Negro, Peggy Soletti, Alan Shoemaker, Nancy and David Irvine, and Jeff Cella.
David and Nancy volunteered to haul everything to Black Butte Transfer Station and Peggy took five bags of aluminum cans and plastic bottles home to sort and recycle. The money will go into our cans for the Western Foundation charities.
Our Hall looks like home again! ❤️

Our next event will be an Italian Sausage Sandwich meal at the W**d Carnevale on Thursday evening, July 11. Follow us for more information!

W**d High School senior, David Dodson, received an award of $400 for his dedication and service to the W**d Lodge #1269. Recording Secretary Peggy Soletti presented his check and certificate at the WHS awards night May 30.
Congratulations David! 🎓
