RCAC FAMILY: We’ve received a request for help!l from Lori Ann Goodine:

My name is Lori Goodine. I am the LCO for Marines Toys For Tots serving Carroll County GA and Randolph County AL. In Randolph County we serve anyone who doesn't meet the need restrictions of the many nonprofits of Randolph County. We served over 90 families this year. We are looking for a venue to do a one day distribution for those in Randolph County AL. Not sure how many families this year. Any suggestions and where could recruit volunteers for the event. It will be before Christmas, maybe a Monday night around a week before Christmas. my number is 404831-5066.

RCAC FAMILY: An Auburn mom needs our help! This is the message we received from Rhonda Nicole Bussey:

My daughter will graduate on May 7 and you know how jam packed those weekends at AU are. I was born & raised in Wedowee RCHS c/91. Just reaching out here that someone may have a rental available in Auburn area for my Green family of Wedowee to come down for the weekend. TIA! WDE!

Copy & pasted. I couldn’t load pictures in post but I’ll try to put them in the comments.

I love Auburn.

I love that a team didn’t listen to the masses who said they didn’t stand a chance.

I love an injured, backup quarterback who just kept grinding to help give his team a chance.

I love a backup place kicker who shouldered enormous pressure in a monumental game.

I love the fight and grit of these young men who played their hearts out and left everything on the field.

And…..I love our Auburn Family who stood in support and appreciation of the efforts and will of these young men. These pictures were taken after the game was over, yet the Auburn faithful stood and showed their respect and love for these young men.

And, because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.

So, when I say I love Auburn, I speak the truth. Auburn is not just coordinates on a map, a name on a sports schedule or the institution listed on a diploma. Auburn becomes part of you, your beliefs and your actions. It is a state of mind and way of life that I have grown to embrace.

Am I disappointed in today’s contest?
Absolutely, 100%….YES. I don’t like to lose anymore than the next person.

Am I thankful that I am part of something that is bigger than me or a final score? Absolutely, 100%…..YES.

Randolph County Auburn Club Fam- given the difficult year and a half we've all had, we hated to ask businesses to donate items for our silent auction. While we still received a few donations, many of this year's auction items were purchased with club funds that are typically used for our scholarship. Please keep this in mind when you are bidding. We would appreciate any and all help you can give so we can ensure our scholarship benefits Randolph County Auburn students for years to come!

TONIGHT is the night!!! Please come join us at 6:00 for a fun event! We can't wait to see you all there!

Hey, RCAC fam! We need your help! Because of the roughy year businesses have had, we are buying our silent auction items instead of asking for donations. Our best sellers have always been cakes. Mrs. Julie Thompson has graciously agreed to make a cake and donate it, but we were hoping some of you might donate one as well! We really need to fill our account in order to provide this scholarship! Just comment on this post if you can bring a cake! Thanks bunches and War Eagle!
