Congratulations to our 4th annual Character in Action Recipient’s Zariyah Beatty, Ivy Birtles, Amelia Bradley,
Lindsey Brown, Ava Culbertson, Drew Cummings, Kaylee Diederichs, Parker Gowens, Pacton Gowens, Maisy Jones, Hunter Meadows, Caleigh McLain, Ethan Mitchell, Madalyn Perry, Lucy Phillips, Ben Pike, Sara Stitcher, Cami Sutton, Ellie Tipton, Amelia Tipton, Madison Weathers, Shyanne Williams.

Each recipient was presented with a trophy and a certificate by District Judge, Amy Newsome and Chief Juvenile Probation Officer, Samantha Birtles. Donna McKay, Major of Wadley, gave a wonderful presentation about the Suitcase of Life.

We’re so proud of every single person recognized tonight and are happy to have Randolph County Juvneile Court shedding some light on the postive we have in our County!

Congratulations to our 3rd annual Character in Action Recipient’s Jamarius Atkinson, Aniya Baker, Raven Brissel, Harley Fries, Ava Hester, Zehkylah Joiner, Brooklyn King, Alana Murdock, Zebulon Pike, Sereptia Screws, Katie Sears, Jake Spivey, and Emma Ward.

Each recipient was presented with a trophy and a certificate by District Judge, Amy Newsome and their nomination forms were read by Chief Juvenile Probation Officer, Samantha Birtles. The ceremony followed with light refreshments, snacks and photo opportunities.

We’re so proud of every single person recognized tonight and are happy to have Randolph County Juvneile Court shedding some light on the postive we have in our County.

We can’t wait to honor our nominees tomorrow at our ceremony!

Our Alabama Children’s Policy Council Conference is a little over a month away! CPC’s are the heart of our state’s effort to protect our children and to keep their needs at the forefront of everything we do. CPCs are made up of multiple professions that are all revolved around children. Children First has been very fortunate to partner very closely with the CPCs to support and protect Alabama children. Congratulations to our Character in Action recipients. We celebrated Reid Carden, Kynzlee Cummins, Leigha Johnson, Kylee King, Jacquez Phillips, A’Marie Prater, Brayden Snyder, Shamiracle Swanson, and Lindsey Whaley for their outstanding displays of character. Our Chief Juvenile Probation Officer, Samantha Birtles, welcomed everyone and started the ceremony off. District Judge, Amy Newsome, followed with a speech about character and presented the recipients with a trophy, andcertificate. We’re so proud of you!

Congratulations to our first recipients for Randolph County’s Character in Action Award. We celebrated Amelia Greer and Bo Henry Cooper on December 20, 2023 for their outstanding displays of character. Our Chief Juvenile Probation Officer, Samantha Birtles welcomed everyone and started the ceremony off. District Judge, Amy Newsome followed with a speech about character and presented the recipients with a trophy, a certificate, and a gift card. We’re so proud of Amelia and Bo!
