Week 5 of our Hope Active Summer Camp is in the books….

This week at both locations we focused on more fundamental skills & teamwork.

The 288 location ended the week w/ Funday Friday. We had the big water slide & DJ Joey keeping the entire crowd moving. You should consider him for all your music needs.

Update: since January 2025 our team has eclipsed a total of 5,000 intervention hours w/ these kids.

This summer camp is in support & in response of the early childhood resiliency program and is sponsored by HCDVCC & Harris County DEEO. It fully supports youth who have been impacted by domestic violence &/or intimate partner violence.

Week 4 of our Hope Active Summer Camp is in the books….

This week we did 1v1’s & 2v2’s. competitions. It got super competitive.
Teaching Points: #1- Being independent & strong #2- Working as a team.

Shoutout to Alex Bowman for the assist on the bounce houses. The kids loved them.

Update: It’s still 🥵. Neck fans came in clutch 🥶.

Week 3 of our Hope Active Summer Camp is in the books….

In honor of the World Cup we partnered with Kevin & the great folks from Kingdom Soccer Training to bring the World Cup to these amazing kids.

Shoutout to Frankie who is an amazing coach & even better person who facilitated the training.

Few lessons learned: It’s hot 🥵 & wearing Jordan’s and Soccer Fields don’t mix 🫠😬.

Week 2 of our Hope Active Summer Camp is in the books….

It rained all week so we had to improvise. Tie Dye shirts, Bingo, computer games, face painting & board games for the win.

Shoutout to Hadley who jumped in & did an amazing job as a camp counselor for the week. If basketball doesn’t work out for her she has a future as a freestyle face painter.
