We’ll be having an upcoming zoom meeting on Sunday, March 15th at 2PM.

Our guest will be author Rob Sheinkopf discussing his new book Baseball Imposters: The Dark Side of Fandom; a collection of stories of grown men who have falsely claimed to have played Major League Baseball. Dubbed “Eddie Scissons Syndrome” based on WP Kinsella’s fictional character in Shoeless Joe who lied about playing Major League Baseball. Sheinkopf draws upon real life examples to explore why individuals engage in such deception and the effects of such claims. This book is the culmination of 40 years of research on the subject. The Baseball Hall of Fame has cited that up to 1 in 5 information requests they receive are unverifiable careers!
