T110 spent this past weekend at Mendon Ponds County Park boating, hiking, learning proper woods tool use and how to best cook over a campfire. Some scouts put their Canoeing MB skills to use for a flipped canoe recovery out on the windy pond.

T110 Alumni at Beaver Weekend, constructing a latrine, sewing curtains for the Mountaineer office and helping to get Massawepie ready for summer camp. Ms. Kniffin, Mr. Dobner, Mr. Geier, Tim Geier, and Mr Lynch worked hard in the liquid sunshine to get the jobs done!

T110 completed a fun bikepacking campout this weekend- a supported trip on the Auburn Trail and Erie Canal Trail from Victor to Mendon to Pittsford to Fairport to Palmyra and finishing in Newark. We covered 40+ miles over the weekend and the scouts learned about bike preparation, pacing and physical fitness and packing relatively light to move from place to place.
The support vehicle was crucial as we had a failed bike crank and a flat tire and it allowed us some flexibility in group gear for meals. The ride was smooth with plenty of crossing points to meet up with the support when needed.

Thanks to Mendon Community Business Association for having us do service work on the Mendon Station Park on Saturday morning. The boys were up early and got started before the other volunteers came so we could get on the trail for our long ride day.

Many thanks to Glacier Lakes District and Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park for hosting a wonderful camporee featuring civil war era demonstrations, hands on merit badges, conservation service hours and fun for our scouts. Well over 300 scouts and scouters participated, making it a great opportunity to meet fellow units from around the council.
