Our first annual Sturgeon Fest is shaping up to be a great event! Sturgeon Nationals will be with us to talk about sturgeon fishing on Yellow Lake. Yellow Lakes & Rivers will share info on the lakes and river and will have a couple of door prizes to give away. Other displays, vendors, etc., related to our northern lakes area. Music! Food - bbq, brats, hot dogs, and more! Buff n Brag Car Show just across the road from Sturgeon Park will continue to showcase some great-looking cars. Hope you'll join us!

For all those who are planning to participate in the Bike Roadeo on Saturday morning as part of Gandy Dancer Days the location has been moved to the West End of Main Street on the northside, at the intersection of Pike Avenue.  The fun starts at 10 o'clock, so be there a little bit early to get checked in!

We just have to give a huge shout out to two of our area businesses for the work they've done at the Sturgeon Park site here in Webster! Big thanks to Chad Noll and his team for lowering the pavilion by about 18 inches, and my personal apologies for all those who have asked me over the last 12 months"why did you build it so tall"; the simple answer is I miscommunicated to Chad when he built it for us last fall and even though it was my bad, he was kind enough to volunteer to lower it to a more appropriate height at no cost! How sweet is that!

Second shout out goes to Chad Wek with Buddy's Skid Steer for prepping the area where we're going to be spreading trap rock for the parking area. He makes such a difference in so many ways here in Webster and the surrounding area, so busy with Chamber of Commerce work, the school district, meat raffles, you name it and he's typically in the middle of it!
