To honor Savannah’s legacy and the incredible work she began, we established the Savannah Memorial 5K. Through this annual event, we continue her mission of raising awareness about domestic violence and providing support to those affected. By sharing Savannah’s story and rallying the community together, we hope to foster a supportive environment where victims can find hope, resources, and the strength to break free from the cycle of violence.

With over $75,000 total raised, we’ve been able to support children wanting to attend summer camp, and have supported our local partner, Bay Area Turning Point.

Savannah dedicated her life to supporting others, working closely with Bay Area Turning Point, a local domestic violence shelter, to make a difference in her community. Her commitment to helping those in need was a testament to her compassionate nature and her desire to make the world a better place.

Now in its 6th year, the Savannah Memorial 5K is a community race held in loving memory of Savannah Kinchen, whose life was tragically taken due to domestic violence. What began as a tribute has grown into a movement... one that uplifts survivors, raises awareness, and creates a safe space for remembrance, healing, and hope.
Whether you run, walk, or simply show up in support, every step you take helps bring light to an issue that impacts families everywhere. 💜

The Savannah 5K organization recently had the honor and pleasure of recognizing the good works of Chief Nicole Smith and the good people of League City Fire - EMS in League City. And, in appreciation for their support over the last 5 years of the memorial walk, we fed them breakfast, presented them with a plaque and a 5k medal for their efforts in helping to raise awareness of Domestic and Sexual Abuse!
