We at the WGFFCO want to send our deepest condolences to the Wentzville Fire Protection District on the passing of Tommy Shine.

For 24 years, he was a member of your family and we can only imagine the grief your are feeling in this time of loss. His service and dedication will always be remembered.

We also want to extend our condolences Brittany and the entire Shine family during this incredibly difficult period in life. Please keep them in your thoughts at this time.

Happy International Women’s Day from the members of Webster Groves Firefighters Community Outreach.

Today, we celebrate the women who serve our community every day. On the fireground, in EMS, and leadership. Their dedication, strength, and compassion make our department stronger and help us better serve the community.

Thank you to the women who paved the way, those currently serving, and the next generation who will continue to break barriers in the fire service.
And we want to say a special thank you to our own members, FF/Paramedic Jones and FF/Paramedic Conrad!

Today we honor and remember Captain Dennis Mignerone. On January 21, 2003, Capt. Dennis Mignerone suffered a fatal heart attack while performing department prescribed exercises.

Capt. Mignerone served with the Webster Groves Police Department for over 26 years. He left behind his wife and three daughters.

We will never forget the life and legacy of Capt. Dennis Mignerone. Husband, father, Captain, paramedic, and friend gone but never forgotten!

With the weather starting to change and SNAP benefits in limbo, the WGFFCO wants to help our neighbors stay warm and fed this winter by donating to a local drive. Please help spread the word and giving nature of our community!

You can contribute new or gently used winter clothing, such as coats, hats, and gloves, along with non-perishable food items.

Please drop off your donations at participating locations like Webster Rock Hill Ministries, Operation Food Search, St. Louis Area Food Bank, The American Red Cross, local Salvation Army, or other community organizations, which will distribute them to those in need.

How to participate
Donate clothing: Contribute new or gently used winter clothing like coats, jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, and new socks.

Donate food: Donate non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, and rice to help local families.

Find a drop-off location: Look for a local drive through community organizations, such as The Salvation Army, or government-sponsored events. You can also find more information on local donation needs through community-focused groups on social media.
Where to donate:

Webster Rock Hill Ministries:
111 East Waymire Avenue
Webster Groves, MO 63119

The Salvation Army: Participate in local "Project Warmth" or "Hoodies for Hope" drives, which accept clothing donations that are distributed to those in need, including the homeless.

Local Non-profits: Find out if local community organizations like the ones in Webster Groves or the St. Louis Metro Area have similar drives happening in your area.

Social Media: Check community Facebook groups for information on urgent donation requests, such as those for specific families who have experienced a house fire or other emergencies.
