College Savings Iowa keeps getting better!
After advocating for these changes during the 2024 legislative session, I am proud to announce updates to your College Savings Iowa account for flexible spending and more savings!

Increased Tax Deduction
College Savings Iowa account owners who are Iowa taxpayers can now deduct up to $5,500 of their contributions per Beneficiary account from their state taxable income in 2024.* Plus, you can still maximize your deduction by having each adult in your household open an account for each child. For example, married account owners who contribute to separate accounts for their two children can deduct up to $22,000 in 2024.

In Hamilton County, we have a high population of rural residents. Access to both financial literacy education and quality health care are critical for rural Iowans.

As the largest health care program in the United States, Medicaid covers more than 20% of the U.S. population including millions of children, older adults, people with disabilities, and 2 million veterans.

It just takes 10.

We have been so lucky to have a number of you step up to help us in the last few weeks.

If 10 people or businesses committed to supporting this Financial Literacy initiative to the tune of $500 each, our goal would be reached. It would ensure that this program could grow in solid ground.
