Congratulations to the WCHS Band for earning a Division I “Superior” rating at State Large Group Contest!

So proud of the way they performed, how hard they work daily, and the energy and passion they put into every performance. Congratulations!

Congratulations to all of our choirs for showcasing their hard work last night at Large Group Festival. We sang for great audiences and a stellar panel of judges.

Lynx Singers and Treble Singers earned a division II “Excellent” rating, while Varsity Singers earned a division I “Superior” rating.

I couldn’t be prouder of their growth this year.

Finally, thank you and congratulations to our incredible band for their support and earning a division I rating themselves! We had a great day!

The Webster City High School Music Department heads to North Polk HS Friday night for the IHSMA Large Group Festival!

Varsity Singers performs at 8 pm

Our alumni are incredible!

Gabriel Ruby:

Hello! My name is Gabriel Ruby. I’m a first-year Sociology and Psychology double major with a concentration in criminal justice from Webster City, IA. Along with that I’m also working towards a minor in Spanish.

For the last seven days we’ve had the pleasure of sojourning through multiple cities here in Morocco. Throughout every stop we’ve been given the chance to view beautiful sights and participate in extravagant activities. We’ve been given the opportunity to ride camels in the desert, cook Moroccan dishes in a cooking class, sing in multiple breathtaking buildings, view multiple religious places, and shop through many souks. Every moment has been nothing short of amazing!

This tour with the Wartburg Choir has been absolutely incredible. This is my first time outside of the country, and I’m pleased to say this is how I’m able to spend it. I’ve been able to experience all the joys within Germany and Morocco and still have Spain yet to come!

I am forever grateful for this amazing opportunity. These experiences are moments that I will hold onto for the rest of my life.
