The troop and pack were honored to take part in the Memorial Day Parade yesterday. Thank you to all who have served our Nation.

2,128 items were donated to Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Webster City and 448 were donated to the Food Pantry in Jewell. For a total of 2,586 items collected from Scouting for Food last weekend. Thank you to everyone that stopped out and donated to help out our communities!

What an amazing turnout from the community! The trailer is full and will be dropped off Tuesday at Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. . The items collected at Jewell Market were dropped off at the church along with purchasing 20 backpack meals to be donated in Jewell!

Please join us this weekend in filling up Upper Des Moines Opportunity of Webster City and the food pantry of Jewell. Scouts will be at local grocery stores collecting non perishable food items. Stop out and support our annual food drive for Hamilton County!

The troop scouts had an indoor campout this weekend. Lots of fun and learning happened. The big events for the weekend: weather merit badge, community service, scout jeopardy, and the movie Follow Me Boys was watched. The scouts cooked every meal, learned to play Jaxs and worked on knots.

Last Saturday the scouts of Troop 17 did some community service and picked up trash in the water way that runs in front of McDonalds upto Bomgaars in Webster City.

The Troop had their Court of Honor this past weekend. Lots of Merit badges handed out a few rank advancements and a patch for MLK day.

Thank you to those who came out and supported the scouts. This group of scouts hosted their 1st free will donation meal and it was a success. They all learned about food safety and mingled and chatted with people from the community.
