VETERANS, COME GIVE BOCCIA BALL A TRY!

We're excited to help spread the word about an upcoming Veterans Group event hosted by The Independent Living Center.

This month, veterans will have the opportunity to learn and play **boccia ball** with a member of the Gateway Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America.

One of the things that makes bocce ball unique is that it can be played from a chair, making it an excellent activity for individuals with disabilities, limited mobility, or anyone simply looking to enjoy some friendly competition.

Whether you've played before or have never heard of it, this is a great opportunity to:
• Meet other veterans
• Learn a new game
• Enjoy some friendly competition
• Connect with others in the veteran community

Sometimes the best part isn't the game...it's the camaraderie.

🇺🇸 **VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO SERVE A DISABLED VETERAN** 🇺🇸

Charlie 22 Outdoors has an opportunity for our community to put gratitude into action.

Scott Lawson, a disabled veteran, has recently sold his home and needs assistance moving belongings from his house into a trailer located in his yard. We're looking for volunteers willing to donate a few hours to help lighten this burden.

⏰ Time: 11:00 AM

Sometimes supporting our veterans looks like hunting trips and retreats. Other times, it looks like showing up with willing hands and a servant's heart.

Openings!

Due to the last-minute cancellation for family health reasons, we have one opening for this weekend. Operation Black Rain. June 12-14.  Neosho, Missouri. Arrival is Friday 5 PM to 5:30 PM. Departure is Sunday early afternoon. 

We have a couple openings for Operation Boulder River. June 26-28. Basin, Montana.  One opening due to one of the vet bringing his own RV for lodging. The other opening is due to a family friend passing away. Arrival is Friday 1 PM to 2 PM. Departure is Sunday early afternoon.

June Re-boot Camp (Gates open 8 am-4 pm) and our Monthly Bible Study (11 am-1 pm) are both going be held next Wednesday at Little Flat Creek Ranch. June 17.

WE HAVE BEEN TASKED WITH HELPING DECREASE THE FISH POPULATION IN THE LAKE AT THE PROPERTY. THAT INCLUDES KEEPING ALL THE BASS UNDER 13 INCHES. ONE CATFISH. AND TWO PERCH.

Drinks, snacks, and hot lunch provided. Come for the whole time or stay for a portion of it.

June 10 Devotion

The point of yesterday’s devotion was on doing good work. On how the Bible tells us that we combat evil by doing good work. I think God is trying to tell me something, because this morning the verse Micah 6:8 comes to mind. It really emphasizes what we’re talking about. We are called to serve others. We are called to do good work. That’s a way we combat evil. A way we beat Satan back. By doing good work. By following God, learning from God, and serving others through God.

Now, it’s easy to get caught up in doing “more” as we try to do good. But there’s a danger with this. The other day we talked about the danger. Doing more, does not mean we are getting more done. We can simply “just” be doing more and not realize it. We are only getting “more” done if we do not stay focused on God. No matter what we are doing. But if we stay focused on God, we can “only” do good work.

So today I want to challenge you again, stay focused on God. Let God instruct you. Let God direct you. Let God correct you. Plain and simple, Let God. Do this, and I promise you, you will see fruits of your labor. God will bless your efforts. God will bless those that you serve. God will see to it…that what you are doing…is indeed good. And we will defeat Satan. Actually, the victory has already been declared. So we’re not defeating Satan, we are holding him down. Pushing him back to where he belongs. Keeping him out of the picture. And that my friends…is glorious and good.

🇺🇸 250 Years of America: A Legacy Worth Remembering 🇺🇸

This year, the United States will celebrate an extraordinary milestone. 250 years as a nation.

For a quarter of a millennium, America has endured trials, overcome challenges, and continued moving forward because of the courage, determination, and sacrifice of those willing to serve something greater than themselves.

As we approach this historic anniversary, we are reminded that freedom has never been free.

Behind every generation of Americans stands a generation of warriors, defenders, and patriots who answered the call. Men and women who left their homes, their families, and their comforts to protect the ideals upon which this nation was built.

Some returned forever changed.
Some carried wounds that could not be seen.
Some never came home at all.

Their sacrifices are woven into the story of America.

At Charlie 22 Outdoors, we believe the 250th Birthday of the United States is more than a celebration of our nation's history. It is an opportunity to honor the countless service members, veterans, and military families who have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

For 250 years, brave Americans have stood watch.

They have defended liberty.
Protected the vulnerable.
Answered the call in times of war, disaster, and uncertainty.

Their legacy is not measured only by battles fought, but by lives impacted, freedoms protected, and future generations given the opportunity to dream, worship, work, and live freely.

As we look toward America's 250th Birthday, may we remember that the strength of this nation has always been found in its people—especially those willing to sacrifice for others.

May we honor the fallen.
Support the living.
And ensure that the stories of our veterans are never forgotten.

250 years of freedom.
250 years of sacrifice.
250 years of Americans answering the call.

And that legacy continues today.
