Are you a part of a church or non-profit that would enjoy a weekend away? We would love to talk to you about hosting a retreat for you at our amazing property, tucked right into the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Asheville, NC.

An update from Windy Gap

The last two weeks here in camp have been very productive. We have removed the mud and deep cleaned all of the buildings that had flooding, we have removed most of the large trees and debris in main camp, and we have had opportunities to work out in our community with our staff. We also began reconstruction on the creek and sand volleyball courts.

We are excited to share that Pioneer Plunge will welcome their first group post hurricane tonight! After 2 weeks of clearing debris, we are thrilled to offer a space for kids to be together and learn more about their Heavenly Father.

We are very thankful for the help we have received from our friends at Carolina Point, Rockbridge, and Sharptop Cove. It has been amazing to see the mission of camping come together in this place!

Unfortunately, due to the closures on I-40 and I-26, the areas scheduled to come on November 1st will not be able to travel to Windy Gap. We will be delaying our re-opening until the weekend of November 8th.

An update from Windy Gap:

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers for this place and our staff over the last few weeks.

On Tuesday, most of our staff was able to return to camp with water, power, and internet restored on property last weekend. We have had a great week of clean up, time together, and time serving in the community around us.

The wonder and majesty of the Lord continues to be on display at Windy Gap each day. Last night, we got to enjoy the Northern Lights shining over camp.

We still have a long road ahead at camp and in the community around us but rest in the knowledge that the Lord is with us in our grief, in our loss, and is here to make all things new.

Please continue to pray and donate as you feel lead.
We can’t wait to swing the gates of camp wide open again soon.

An update post Hurricane Helene:

Windy Gap has taken a big hit but we have no doubt that we will be able to build and restore what has been damaged.
Our hearts and efforts at the moment are towards ensuring the safety of our staff as well as helping the community around us.

Thank you to the many of you that have reached out and offered help with time or resources. We are not currently in a position to be able to assess the damage and create a timeline for work to begin again. However, we will be in touch if anything is needed.

Please continue to pray with us for our staff and families as well as the surrounding communities. Our hearts are truly broken by the devastation to the place we call home.

We are thankful that the God we serve brings with Him healing and restoration.
