People Feeding People

People Feeding People was formed in January 2016 by Sunshine Emery and others in the community. We meet at least monthly in Fort Worth, Texas.

We set out with a goal to lend a hand in the community by feeding people's mind, body and soul. By October 2016, we were granted the official status of a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization. People Feeding People had to make some major changes due to the pandemic, and continues to adjust as rules and guidelines change. Our group of volunteers steps up to offer food, basic hygiene products,

friendship, music and smiles to those in need. It is our goal to grow by adding more dates each month and branching out to other locations. Because People Feeding People is a nonprofit organization run strictly by volunteers and donations, we cannot do what we do without the help of others. If you would like to join us in feeding the mind, body and soul, please contact us. We are in need of more people to help give out food and more musicians to feed the soul. If you would like to help but are unable to join us in person, please consider a tax deductible donation to our cause.

***** Some of the items we need are:
*Bottled Water *Individually Packaged Food Items *Non Perishable Food *Plastic Gloves (non-latex due to allergies) *Personal Hygiene Items (including condoms and feminine products) *Cash Donations for fresh food and other items to assist the homeless. We are also looking for a space to have meetings, do volunteer training, have events, and store items when not in use. Thank you to everyone who’s helped us keep this going for 10 years now! I can’t think of any better way to spend my Friday afternoon – and the experience was only made better by the beautiful people that were able to volunteer to help me share. We helped over 100 people in just over an hour – together we can make even more of a difference for some folks that really need it ❤️

It’s always such a beautiful and humbling experience to be out on the streets giving, and I’d love to invite anyone who’s interested to join me on a weekday in December or January. I actually had more supplies than I could carry last week, simply because I didn’t have enough volunteers to help give everything out. Shout out to my wonderful partner, Garland Emery, for taking off work early to help me, and for grabbing a few photos when the line died down. Every little bit truly makes a difference- and together, we can do so much more!
If you’re not able to volunteer in person, this is a perfect time of year to host a small sock, hat, gloves, underwear, blanket, or canned food drive. We’re more than happy to pick up anything you collect and make sure it gets directly to the folks who need it most. Last year, Tommy Luke, a super talented local musician, did one and gathered a ton of warm items that made a huge impact. It doesn’t take long, but it means the world to the people receiving it. Every day is a beautiful day to be out giving – we were sharing out of almost every window yesterday! Thank you to Julie over at Juliebeans Icecream trucks and everyone that helps us keep this going ❤️

What a joyful day! In just over an hour, we gave out over 450 ice creams, snacks, and cold drinks, and the highlight was a bus stop full of school kids cheering and jumping for joy when they got free ice cream on a hot day- my heart is still smiling 🥰
Huge thanks to Julie at Julie Beans's Ice Cream for inviting us to share from her ice cream truck and bringing all of the icecream and Gary Emery/Linda Emery for making events like this possible. Because of this community, we’ve been able to keep spreading kindness for over 10 years!

What a beautiful day to be out sharing – folks were so happy to get cold drinks on such a hot day! Thank you to everyone who keeps us going- thanks to your generous donations, we've been going out at least monthly for almost 10 years now and sometimes multiple times a month ❤️

Man, it felt good to be out giving and to see all of those happy faces! Being out on the streets sharing helps the people serving just as much as the people in need. I'm so appreciative of everyone that helps keep this going! Its been 9 years this year 🥰
