A little reminder of the heart behind Meek Equestrian. 🤍

Meek Equestrian was created with a simple purpose: to bring together girls who share a love for Jesus and horses.

As we continue to grow, our heart is to intentionally build a Christ-centered community for high school, college, and young adult equestrian girls. A place to grow in our faith, build genuine friendships, encourage one another, and keep Christ at the center of everything we do, both in and out of the arena.

The equestrian world can be competitive, but we believe there’s something special about finding girls who encourage you not only in your riding but also in your walk with the Lord.

God is always on time. 🤎

Sometimes we get so caught up in where we want to be that we forget to be present where our feet are.

Whether you’re waiting for progress with your horse, an answered prayer, or a new season of life, don’t overlook what God is doing right where you are.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ESV)

Be present in the season God has you in. Trust His timing, embrace the process, and remember that there is purpose in the waiting.

Psalm 46:10 is a verse we hear so often, but there is so much depth behind the words, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

There’s something about the stillness of an early morning at the barn. Before the show grounds come alive, before the horses are fed, before the first ride of the day—when everything is quiet.

Being still isn’t simply about finding a quiet moment. It’s about surrendering our need to control, our worries, and our constant striving—and remembering who God is.

The world gives us plenty of reasons to rush, worry, and plan. But God calls us to quiet our hearts, turn our attention back to Him, and trust Him.

Before the busy day begins, before the pressure of the arena, before everything starts moving—be still and listen.

If you’re wondering how to grow closer to Jesus, Scripture doesn’t leave us guessing. While the Bible doesn’t give us a checklist for the Christian life, it does show us the rhythms that help us know Him more deeply. As we consistently spend time with the Lord through prayer, His Word, worship, fellowship, and remembering His faithfulness, our hearts are transformed to become more like Christ. These habits don’t earn our salvation—they help us abide in the One who has already saved us.

• Daily Prayer
“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV)

• Reading God’s Word
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (ESV)

• Fellowship with Other Believers
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another.” — Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV)

• Worship
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24 (ESV)

• Journaling & Remembering God’s Faithfulness

It’s easy to get caught up in the distractions of the world and begin treating faith like another chore on a checklist. But that’s not what Jesus calls us to.

Faith was never meant to be a religion to follow—it was meant to be a relationship to live. Christianity is about knowing Jesus, walking with Him daily, and allowing Him to transform every area of our lives.

Just like any relationship, it takes time, intention, and consistency to grow. Think of a plant: if it isn’t watered, it won’t flourish. The same is true of our relationship with Christ. We can’t expect spiritual growth if we only spend time with Him when it’s convenient or when we have nothing else to do.

Our relationship with Jesus was never meant to be shoved into a box or treated as a task we’ll hopefully get to later. He deserves more than our leftovers. He deserves our first priority.

When we make time to seek Him, spend time in His Word, and walk with Him daily, our minds are renewed, our hearts are strengthened, and our lives begin to reflect Him more and more.

In a world that constantly tells us to chase recognition, success, and attention, this verse reminds us to surrender it all back to Jesus. In the barn, in the arena, and in everyday life, may our lives point back to Him in all we do: less of us, more of Jesus.🤍

In the equestrian world, it can be easy to rely on our own strength — our preparation, training, experience, or performance in the arena. But horses have a way of humbling us quickly and reminding us that we are not fully in control.

Psalm 59:16 points us back to the true source of our strength. In the early barn mornings, the long show days, the frustrating rides, the setbacks, and even the victories, God remains steady. He is our refuge when nerves are high, when plans fall apart, and when we feel overwhelmed.

As equestrians, we are blessed with the opportunity to care for His creation and enjoy these horses, but this verse reminds us not to place our identity in results or ribbons. Instead, we can enter the barn each day praising the Lord for His faithfulness and leaning on His strength rather than our own.
