Not every season in the saddle is about ribbons. Some seasons are about learning patience, trusting the process, and remembering that God is working even when progress feels slow.🤍

With show and rodeo season getting into full swing, it’s a good reminder that what we do is not by our own strength alone.

Horses quickly remind us that we are not in control of everything. No matter how experienced we are, how strong we feel, or how prepared we try to be, there are moments when our own strength simply isn’t enough — especially in the show ring when nerves can run extremely high.

In those moments, we are reminded to trust in God rather than rely on ourselves. When we lean on Him, He steadies our hearts and quiets our minds, helping us refocus on the blessing it is to ride and show these incredible horses.

And at the end of the day, we give thanks to Him who gives us this love for horses and the opportunity to care for His creation.

In the barn, in the arena, and in the quiet moments in between,
one of our greatest desires should be to grow more aware of His presence.

God invites us into relationship with Him in every part of our lives —
even the small, ordinary moments.

As we actively seek to dwell in His presence,
our perspective begins to change.
We learn to lean fully on Him and surrender,
resting in the reminder that His presence is with us always. 🤍

“One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to inquire in his temple.”
