Anyone can join - Parents, Grandparents, Students, Neighbors, Friends, Business Employees, etc. Do I need to volunteer to be a member of PTA? At its fundamental level, PTA membership is a financial investment in our campus. Of the $10 you pay for membership, $5.50 stays with MME PTA (see below for details of "What does PTA do?") and $4.50 goes to Texas and National PTA dues. While PTA always wants
and needs volunteers, it is not necessary for membership. You can decide how much, if any, you would like to volunteer. Your financial support is greatly appreciated. What exactly does PTA do?
*Provides class t-shirts, classroom subscriptions, and recess equipment for students
*Funds buses for field trips for our students
*Provides campus improvements. Past improvements include Playground Shade Covers and a Digital Sign
*Organizes volunteers for our workroom and school activities
*Helps organize school events such as Carnival, Teacher Luncheons, and Field Day
*Provides bounce houses and hot dog lunch for Field Day
*Organizes the Star Zone - our school store
*And so much more!
