Quilter's Guild of Parker County is located in Weatherford, Texas. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the art of quilting.

We meet at the Lakeshore Baptist Church in Hudson Oaks, TX on the 3rd Thursday at 6:30 p.m

Today, we celebrate the art, history and heart of quilting. Whether you're piecing a new project, finishing a long-awaited UFO, or simply admiring the beauty of handmade quilts, this is a day for all of us who love the craft.
Quilting connects generations, preserves stories, and brings comfort to our communities. Thank you to every member of our guild for keeping this tradition vibrant and creative.

The Quilters Guild of Parker County meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at Lakeshore Baptist Church, 200 South Lakeshore Dr., Hudson Oaks at 6:15 PM. If you are new to quilting, want to learn, or an experienced maker, please join us - we'd love to have you.

The Quilter’s Guild of Parker County would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the quilt auction yesterday! We hope you enjoyed shopping and bidding on the lot of beautiful quilts. Our annual fundraiser is an important part of our mission as we support other charities and make quilts for those in need in our community. We appreciate your support.

Its almost time!! These breathtaking quilts and many more will be auctioned off tomorrow, Saturday, September 20th, with doors opening at 12PM for a preview. Explore our raffle baskets and Country Store for even more fun! Monies raised goes to Meals on Wheels, Grace House and other local charities. Thanks to the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce for recognizing 25 years of quilting in Parker County and the surrounding areas. As a 501c3 non-profit, we have been able to serve many charitable organizations through our wielding of the needle and thread. We are thankful for the support of this wonderful community. We look forward to another 25 years of quilting in Parker County.

What a 25th Anniversary Celebration for the Quilter’s Guild of Parker County! There are so many people to thank - I don’t dare list names lest I forget one or more! But here are a few photos to showcase the evening.

One of the MANY recipients of the Comfort Quilts program is the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. The nurses from CCBD came to our meeting to thank our Guild. A few notes passed along by the recipients were read and few goosebumps shed. Jo Ann Russell distributes the quilts to that location along with Susie, the therapy pup, also in attendance. Jo Ann was presented with a precious bouquet of roses from the nurses for her dedication.

Gwenna Lee Evans and Joyce Coney were also in attendance and recognized for their contributions to the Comfort Quilts program. Gwenna Lee began the program in 2003! Joyce is responsible for connecting with the Habitat for Humanity program for Parker County in our very early days! EVERY Habitat for Humanity home in Parker County has been furnished with quilts for each bedroom (owners and children). So hats off to these two members.

Members make and donate about 300 quilts per year. While the program wasn’t as strong in the beginning, we estimate that over 4000 quilts have been made and donated to the Parker County community.

In a previous post, the Guild was recognized for its service with a proclamation by the City of Weatherford. President Lynn Main read the proclamation last night.

After a program on color by Annie Smith, the meeting closed with members sharing a slice of birthday cake!

Thanks to the members of the Guild, to the fearless presidents over the past 25 years and to the community who supports our mission by attending our Quilt Auctions (coming this September) and our Quilt Shows! Without support from all of you, the Guild wouldn’t be able to provide to this community.

Thank you to the City of Weatherford for the proclamation recognizing the efforts of the Quilter's Guild of Parker County over the past 25 years. With the support of Guild members and the wonderful citizens of Parker County, we are able to provide comfort quilts to citizens in need within this community. We thank all of you, and we hope to see you in September for our biannual quilt auction.

please note that the April meeting is a week early this month. We are having our annual comfort quilt sew day THIS Thursday. Come at 3 for some sewing and a short meeting.
