Those in the Parker County, TX shelter area! Please fix them now. The shelters are already over run with cats.

🐾 WHISKER WEDNESDAY is this week – MAY 27 — Don’t Miss Out! Community cats everywhere are out there in heat or pregnant NOW! It is a very hard and miserable life for kittens born outside and for the mother cats trying to keep them alive. The majority of kittens born outside never see their first birthday. People are bringing in “orphaned” kittens almost daily to the shelter, many near death. YOU can prevent that by getting both of the parents fixed before any kittens are born.

Our FREE spay/neuter program for community cats is happening this WEDNESDAY, MAY 27! We will be accepting the first 100 cats from our service area inside Parker County—so be sure to arrive early!

📍 Important Details:
✅ You must be a resident of our service areas within Parker County.
✅ Cats must be in appropriately sized live traps (no squirrel traps—cats must be able to lay on their side comfortably, as this is where they recover post-surgery). One cat per trap.
✅ Gate opens for drop-off at around 8:30 AM, until 100 cats have checked in. The line starts forming early, SO DON’T BE LATE!
✅ Same-day pickup times will be assigned at drop-off.

Please be sure you have a safe temperature-controlled place to hold them overnight, as they will not be able to regulate their body temperature after surgery. Use that flattened Chewy/Amazon box to set the traps on (can also add p*e pads) to collect their waste overnight. Set them up in a bathroom or bathtub or laundry room where they can rest undisturbed.

‼️ Please make sure that they are in a live trap! CARRIERS or WIRE CRATES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON WHISKER WEDNESDAY! Cats not in live traps will be turned away! Please do not use small squirrel traps for adult cats! There needs to be room to lay the unconscious cat in the trap after surgery, and there needs to be room for them to stand up as they are waking up. ONLY ONE CAT PER TRAP! ‼️ If you catch two cats in one trap, bring an extra trap (empty), and we will assist you in transferring one cat to the extra trap.

Cover the traps with an old towel or sheet to help calm the cat. ALWAYS secure the trap doors with a zip tie (or something similar). Traps with rings on either side of the door can allow escape if it tilts, as can some of the cheaper traps.

All cats will get a notch cut in one ear (NO EXCEPTIONS), which tells anyone who sees the cat that he has already been fixed.

Traps are available for loan at our shelter with a $50 returnable deposit, as well as at Weatherford Whiskers with a $75 credit card deposit (not charged if traps returned in good condition within 2 weeks).

This program plays a huge role in reducing the community cat population, and we appreciate your participation! 🐾

If you have any questions, please call 817-598-4111 or email [email protected].

💜 See you on Wednesday, and thank you for helping us make a difference!

Bernard and Creamcicle

Both Felv positive and best buddies.
Bernard also has FIV and survived FIP!

Both were slated for euthanasia and we were able to save their lives.

You can find them snuggled up together most of the time.

Both have been with us for over two years now.

Silverton.

05/31/2026

This is Silverton. He was a super feral guy with a horribly injured leg who was trapped by a local trapper, Erin. Saving Hope agreed to pay for vetting, and ultimately, an amputation. They were hoping he would be friendly once he was out of pain, but alas, this boy was mean!

Since returning a tri-pod feral is not best practice we were asked to take him in! He’s a beautiful boy, but definitely did not love humans.

It’s been a little over two years, and over time he has started to warm to us.

But look at him now!!!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was not the best of days…but we were able to save an owner surrender little girl who was last call. She was acting badly at the shelter and lashing out and they were going euthanize.

We immediately went and picked her up and once she got into my car she became a chatty sweetheart.

It’s a travesty that cats (and dogs) have to die in shelters because of bad attitudes that are strictly because they are terrified. We have taken in so many kitties for that reason that ultimately have been able to move to adoption rescues or flown out of state via the SPCA of North Texas program, which is amazing!

We have some final vetting to complete and are hoping to raise funds for that vet visit. Please consider a donation to Cupid's Animal Haven.

💯% of donated funds go to the care and feeding of the cats in our care!

Thank you for your consideration and please give a big hello to Emmy!

These feral guys were living under a house in Dallas. When their caretaker left, the house was to be demolished. A caring community member trapped them and made sure their vetting was updated and we agreed to give them a home to ensure their long term safety and care.

They don’t love us, but absolutely love their outdoor enclosure and the food and their fellow kitties.

These kitties deserved a chance and we were happy to provide that!

Please donate NOW for Texas Gives to Animals in celebration of National Pet Month.

The first $100,000 in online donations were matched dollar‑for‑dollar by presenting partner The Gigi Gartner Charitable Foundation Fund and Communities Foundation of Texas (up to $100 per donor, per organization).

These matching funds have been depleted, BUT all transaction fees are being covered as well! So 💯 percent comes to our rescue whether they are matched or not!

Link to our do ation page is in our bio!

This is Shooter and Peachy, who did not want to relinquish their bed to the other. These guys are both feral and came from a local rescuer and the Graham shelter.

Shooter has a damaged leg and as such was not a good candidate for TNR. Peachy was too feral and at that time, Graham did not have a TNR program so we took him in! Peachy has turned out to love us!

We give these spicy babies homes for their lifetimes and try and meet them where they are comfortable, which generally means they don’t want us around much.

They get their daily wet food, litter boxes cleaned, water and dry food topped off and are happy to see us go on our merry way!

We give options for cats who have few, or sometimes none anywhere else!

Thank you for your support!
