As Fire Chief, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank Captain Matthew McKittrick and Driver/Operator Justin Henning who worked behind the scenes on two projects that were presented at this weeks City Council meeting. While I may be the one standing before Council presenting these items, a tremendous amount of work goes into preparing them long before they reach that point.

Gentlemen, your dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to making our department better do not go unnoticed. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into these projects, often while balancing your regular responsibilities.

Thank you for all that you do and I am proud to work alongside each of you.

Also thank you to Truck 1 and Squad 1’s crews for coming to Council to show support.

Our Crime Scene van got a facelift, thanks to the Weatherford Police & Fire Foundation!

Our trusty Crime Scene van still has plenty of life left in it, but after years of service, the graphics were peeling and showing their age. It was time for a fresh look that better reflects the professionalism and pride our Crime Scene Investigation Unit brings to the job every day.

A HUGE thank you to the Weatherford Police & Fire Foundation for making this makeover possible and to 4-D Auto Solutions for doing such a fantastic job giving our van a new look!

We're grateful for the continued support of our Police Foundation and the community members who make projects like this possible!

👻 If you're NOT headed to Monster Bash on Saturday, October 10, from 6–10 PM at Heritage Park, you may want to steer clear of Santa Fe Drive and Fort Worth Highway. Try taking Bankhead Drive or Main Street to get where you need to go.

🦇 If you ARE going, you're in for a frightfully fun time! Just remember to pack a little patience and watch out for your fellow devilish drivers. There's nothing scarier than a traffic jam full of monsters! 🚗🧟‍♂️
