We would like to take a moment to address the events of the last two weeks.
First, AUsome Allen is going to continue on, and we will be stronger. We temporarily paused social media and events to avoid escalating the attacks and to protect the mental health of our family and loved ones. Today, we are ready to speak and address the situation directly.
We are devastated by the recent false accusations launched against our family and our life work.
These attacks involve baseless allegations about our foundation's management, as well as the release of private conversations recorded without our consent during a challenging period. While we acknowledge that the recordings did highlight moments of weakness and exhaustion that could have been handled differently, they have also been heavily manipulated, twisted, and selectively edited to misrepresent the full context. These edits do not paint an accurate picture of our integrity or the ongoing efforts we make to improve ourselves. We continue to prioritize our mental health through counseling and prayer and work daily to reflect our true values and commitment.
We have identified the source of these fraudulent, libelous attacks and are working with the Office of the Attorney General and a private attorney to ensure that they stop this attack and are held accountable.
To those who initiated this campaign of lies: While we understand that differing opinions may exist, these anonymous attacks harm not only us but the communities we serve.
To our donors: We remain committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of your contributions. We are in the process of completing an outside, independent audit of our financials and will make them available to you as soon as possible. Your confidence in our mission and management is critical to our success, and we are grateful for you. We invite you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns, or to review the results of our audit.
To the many who have reached out with messages of love and support: Thank you. Your words mean more than you can imagine.
To demonstrate our stewardship and management of the Foundation, attached to this post are several documents that will provide you with the facts:
The first an acknowledgement from the architect selected to design the park, verifying their work with the City on this project. Next, we have posted two letters from one of our beneficiaries, validating our contributions.
It is unfortunate that we have been distracted from our mission due to vile, false allegations and hope the Weatherford community will join us in refocusing our energy on helping the special needs community.
Finally, this page is a safe space for our beneficiaries and their allies. We encourage respectful dialogue and will not tolerate harassment or bullying, as our focus remains on supporting the special needs community.
