Lets all wish C**tin good luck on Sept 3 for his first football game. Over the years, we have shared many accomplishments C**t has achieved. He has come a long way since his first camp in 2024. He has a love for horses which is still a large part of his heart but he also loves to try new things. His self confidence and TRY is still growing. Good luck C**t.

Lead Changes was highlighted this month in the Cowboys and Indians Magazine. In May 2026, we hosted our very first benefits gala with "An Evening at the Cowgirl". It was tremendous success, giving our founders, Chris and Barbara Cox and the Board of Directors the opportunity to share our story, mission and the stories of some of the youth that have benefited from the Lead Changes experience.

Thank you to our sponsors, donors and support from our network that was unable to attend. With all of you, we are able to grow Lead Changes and touch more lives of our youth.

SAVE THE DATE - May 15 2027, we will be returning to National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame for a 2nd annual "Evening At the Cowgirl" benefiting Lead Changes.

Those of you who have followed Lead Changes for years may remember Rein. We welcomed him to camp several years ago and introduced a book his parents authored that Rein was an important feature in the book. Several years have passed and he has grown into quite an accomplished and confident young (tall) man.

He is the Missouri State Champion chute dogger, winner of the year end in the Christian Rodeo Association and recently went to the Junior High National finals placing 14th.

Congratulations Rein.

We have all made the mistake of judging horses and people from their appearance.
I’ve rode some very plan looking horses that had a lot of try and a big Heart. And on the other side I’ve rode and trained pretty horses with perfect confirmation and no Heart.
People look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the Heart” ( Samuel 16:7)

It is graduation time and we would like to congratulate Ellie, who has attended the girls Leadership and Horsemanship Camp multiple times. She has so many skills that she developed over the camps that quickly reflected in her ability to a respected leader to others and build her own self-worth and confidence.

Ellie is an amazing young lady and we can't wait to follow her next steps. She has been a member of the Katy Cowgirls for several years, who also are committed to teaching leadership skills and cultivating servant-hearts in the girls.
