I want to give a big thank you to everyone who participated in our angel tree this year. Last year we had a total of 6 angels, and this year we had a total of 24! As of today, they are all sponsored. 🥰🥰 Our community continues to show up for our families, and we are forever thankful for you.
We hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving, and get to enjoy some good quality family time. 🫶🏼

Angels!! Get your angels!!! 😇
The angels have been placed on the tree.
Please remember to contact Jordan Mooney once you have your angel. She will be your point of contact if you need links to items, or if you have any other questions.

Things to note about the tags:
The silver tags list 3-4 items that are more budget friendly. The gold tags consist of a single item that are a little higher dollar value, or to big to fit in a sack. (Bike, cologne/perfume,headphones, etc.)

**Any tag can be collected and fulfilled by one person alone, or by a team of people. This is open to all of SWOSU, alumni, and the Weatherford community.
I have also noted if they have a sibling. So if you need to collaborate with other teams who may have their sibling, I can give you that information.
If you want to donate money to support an angel, that is also accepted. We can do the shopping for you!

These Angels move fast, so get them while they last!
We are requesting all angels are shopped for and returned to the tree by Dec. 2nd at 5pm. I will arrange pick up with parents so they can have their gifts under their tree before we leave for break!

Don’t forget to let me know who you have, happy shopping, and MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄🎁

I’m happy to see the smiling faces walking around and becoming acquainted with different organizations! I had the opportunity to meet several parents throughout the SWOSU community and tell them about Single Parents Network and all the resources we have. We have partnered with Harley’s house to have an even bigger village!
Friends and Students! If you are a parent, or know of a parent, (single or with a partner) pass on our information! We want to help alleviate any challenges you may face, and support your journey through school!
Diapers, wipes, food, formula, childcare, and transportation are just a few out of the several resources we can provide.

Our first event was a success! We had a thanksgiving themed meal catered to us, and an arts and crafts table for the kiddos to make their personal turkey.
I can’t wait for our community to grow, and to welcome parents who seek supportive resources while on their education journey!

Hello parents!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and you are finishing strong while we are coming up on the end of the semester.
I wanted to reach out and let you know that we are planning to do a December event.
I think we are going to rent out the back building at Corner Stone located in Weatherford and having a pizza party.
With this, I have a lot that I need your input on. If you are not on our GroupMe, please let me know so that I can add you. I will be creating polls to effectively plan for the event.

Renting out the space at Corner Stone allows the kiddos free range to run and play, jump houses, and a full kitchen.

I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all!
