The West MS Fall Dance is coming up, and while the kids plan the event, we need parent volunteers to make it happen!

Think of it as a rare chance to observe middle schoolers in their natural habitat: the huddled friend groups, the bold few who actually dance, and the bottomless appetites for snacks. It’s better than any nature documentary, and you will have a front-row seat 😆

We’re looking for volunteers to sell snacks, supervise the gym and hallways, or be a general floater to jump in wherever an extra set of hands is needed.

When: Thursday, October 22nd

Dance: 4:10–5:30 pm, right after school

Volunteers: Please arrive by 3:45 pm for a short meeting and plan to stay until 5:45 pm

This dance is held afterschool from 4:10p - 5:30pm. We ask that volunteers arrive at 3:45pm to sign in and attend a quick volunteer meeting before students are dismissed from class, and stay until 5:45pm. Thank you for helping make this event possible for our middle school students!

Thank you to our amazing West Middle School families, friends and school community for your tremendous support of the Best at West PTO fundraiser!

Your generous donations totaled $26,137, not only achieving but surpassing the school-wide fundraising goal of $25,000!

Last call for Best at West donations!

Our current fundraising total as of Friday morning is $23,050.

Thank you to our amazing students, families and school community who have already donated generously! We’re less than $2,000 away from achieving the school-wide fundraising goal of $25,000, which would fully fund the annual PTO budget and allow for numerous investments that enrich the school experience for our students.

If you have not already donated – or if you’d like to contribute additional funds – please consider making an online donation today to help us reach the $25,000 goal!

It’s Day Four of the Best at West PTO fundraiser – thank you to all who have already donated generously!

Our fundraising total as of Thursday morning is $17,424.

We’re still in need of additional donations to reach our fundraising goal of $25,000 and make more happen at West Middle School this year! Tomorrow – Friday, Oct. 2 – is the last day to donate.

If you have not already donated (or if you’d like to contribute additional funds!), please consider sending cash or check (made out to ‘Wayzata West Middle School PTO’) with your student tomorrow, or use the convenient online option.

It’s Day Three of the Best at West PTO fundraiser, our ONE major fundraiser of the school year.

Our current fundraising total as of Wednesday morning is $12,464.

We’re just about halfway to reaching the school-wide fundraising goal of $25,000 (around $30/student) – thank you to all of the students, families, friends, teachers and others in our school community who have already donated generously!

It’s Day Two of the Best at West PTO fundraiser, our ONE major fundraiser of the school year. Thank you to those who have already donated!

Our current fundraising total as of Tuesday morning was $7,809.

Our school-wide fundraising goal of $25,000 (around $30/student) enables numerous PTO investments that benefit our school - such as student support, teacher grants, school dances and celebrations, staff hospitality, and more!

Remember, there are amazing prizes up for grabs! Every student who donates any amount to the Best at West fundraiser will be entered to win raffle prizes, like free ice cream, candy or other treats.

Class prizes will also be awarded to the top earning advisory (school-wide) and the advisory classes with the highest participation (one per grade).

The students are having fun checking the class prize leaderboards in the cafeteria each day. Winners will be announced at school next week after final donations are totaled.
