After being a pastor to teens, young adults and their families in a traditional church setting for 30 years, I have shifted gears to pastoring a missional community. We live in a world that is desperate for authentic relationships that are deeply impactful. r ministry is committed to the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our model. The Holy Spirit is our source of power. Love is our motivation. As a pastor and life coach I will help you with the following:
1) I will help you develop a personal mission statement. A personal mission statement is easy to understand and to communicate. It summarizes what your life is really all about. It answers the questions, "Who Are You?" and "What are you going to do about it?"
2) I will help you to create measurable vision statements (goals) that move you on the path declared in your mission statement.
3) I will ask directed coaching questions. A great question cannot be answered quickly but when answered will bring clarity that sets the stage for the next move you will make. A great question always calls for action once it is answered.
4) I will provide healthy accountability. Accountability, in the context of life coaching, is an agreement between two people to follow through with a game plan that has been clearly defined, that is measurable and that has a clear deadline.
5) We will create a Coaching Covenant. A coaching covenant clearly defines the roles of the coach and the client and holds each to the expectation that has been agreed upon.
6) I may share relevant life lessons and authentic stories. A life coach is not a teacher. A life coach has a life experience that has prepared him to bring great questions and some direction to the needs of the client. The client sets the agenda for the coach. The client tells the coach where he/she is and where he/she is trying to go. As a coach, I help you come up with a plan to get there.
7) I can help you to problem-solve. I will not only give advice. If setbacks occur, we will work together to address them and to get beyond them in order to keep on track toward your desired end result.
8) I will provide encouragement and support. As your coach, I will be one of your greatest fans. I will bring everything I have to the table to help set you up for success. What about the Art?
