Wayzata Troop 283, Scouting America Scouting America Troop serving Scouts of all genders in Wayzata, Plymouth, and surrounding areas. We proudly call ourselves Minnesota's Oldest Troop.

Troop 283 (Troops 3283 (boys) and 5283 (girls)) was chartered in 1915 and is the longest continuously-chartered troop in Minnesota. We welcomed girls to our troop in 2019 and serve Scouts of all genders. We are a youth-led organization and meet on Monday evenings at Wayzata Community Church.

Cabins are still available next week if you’d like to join some Pack 283 families at Many Point Family Camp during week 7 or attend on your own during week 8.
$465 for the week in a cabin.
$165 for a tent site.
$215 for an RV.

A small but mighty crew from Troop 283 is headed to Summit Bechtel Reserve for an unforgettable high-adventure experience!

Over the next week, these Scouts will challenge themselves, build leadership skills, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. From outdoor adventures to new experiences, they’re ready to represent our troop and community with pride.
