Did y’all realize that the book of faces is hiding your friends’ posts and filling your feed with things that make them money instead? I recently realized how bad it is when I clicked on the little friend icon at the bottom and saw all the posts from friends that did not make it into my feed. If I have chosen to follow you, I expect you to show up in my feed.
I also recently paid for ads for the first time ever on this page where I have about 2,200 followers. Of course those paid ads supposedly got thousands of views according to the stats. But now my normal unpaid posts that used to get a few thousand views are getting less than 100. So the book of faces isn’t even showing them to the followers that I earned organically over the years now that I’m obviously on a list of corporations who will pay for ads.
I’m a nonprofit, so now they lost my paid ads permanently. Why would I pay for ads when it brings down my views on the rest of my posts to people who have chosen to follow me?
We are always being manipulated. I’mma’ just click that friend icon every time I log on from now on.
