Butterfly Angels: The McKinley Anne Foundation Our services:

Grief Support: our goal is to meet monthly at our House of Hope office in Mt. Morris, PA. Support is non clinical, peer to peer.

Individual/private grief support sessions can also be arranged. Please refer to our page for most current grief support dates and times. Bereavement Boxes: We have boxes containing items to promote comfort and coping including books for bereaved parents and children that we found to be extremely helpful and of great comfort throughout the journey of our grieving process. e Events: our annual events are family friendly and offered free of cost. These include a live butterfly release and picnic in the summer/early fall and our candle light service of remembrance in December. Dates and locations of these events can vary year to year, please see our Facebook feed for most current details. Funeral/Burial/Marker Funds: While we do not have any income requirements to qualify, assistance is based on availability of funds. We have found that the most costly expense is for a headstone/cemetery marker however, the most immediate funds required are typically for funeral services. We realize that this may be a burden for many families to come up with in a short amount of time, especially in unexpected situations. Requests for monies and assistance are reviewed on a case by case basis and approval is determined by our board of directors. We deal directly through the funeral homes and cemetery suppliers; therefore, funds will not be passed through any individuals or family members.

October 15th is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. A day to honor babies who have died and to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.

Join us at 7pm by lighting a candle to simulate a world wide wave of light to honor these precious children. We want to remember them with you, please feel free to share in the comments below who you are lighting a candle for this evening 💜

Brunch starts at 10am. If you are attending today, please do not enter the venue any earlier than 9:45 am. You are welcome to wait on the covered porch if you arrive prior to that time. We also kindly ask that you not lay items (other than a jacket or purse) on the tables or chairs to save seats when you arrive.
