Board applications will be accepted until 10/31! If you have any questions, feel free to message us! The pay sucks (😝 nonexistent) but it’s also one of the most rewarding experiences!

Speaking of 10/31……join us for trunk or treating and hit up the fire department’s fall festival!

We partnered with Fayette Erectors to purchase and deliver school supplies that were still needed by the teachers/students at Waynesburg Elementary. When you sponsor us or our events, 100% of the proceeds go back into the community by way of donating things like this, hosting more events, or making improvements to and operating the community center. We are so thankful for those that donate to our cause!!!!

We are also so appreciative of our teachers and school employees, so this was just a small token to show our appreciation!

I’ve had a couple people ask so figured I’d make a post about why we are looking for board members. Gloria Sneed resigned and Katie Colwell (Shea) is finishing her term but is going to step away after that.

We’re grateful to both for their time served and the hard work they’ve put into bettering our community. ❤️

As of now, remaining board members will include: Janica Carrier, Chasity Moore, Robin Dixie Falconbury, and myself (Denise Pilcher).

SLAI would also like to thank H&H septic for taking care of our porta potty needs for the derby and Pioneer Day! He’s always there to help us out so remember him for any septic needs! Plus, he’s named his truck the stool bus and that’s just hilarious 😆

Also, we would like to thank Family Traditions MotorSports for all their help and guidance. We knew nothing about having a derby. Literally the only thing we knew was cars get in and bang each other up. They came down in the sweltering heat and spent ALL day building the track, helped us through any issues, and stayed until 6:45 AM fixing the track back after the derby. And let’s be honest, they made the same amount of money whether 1 person or 10,000 showed up so we are so thankful for them and all their help before/during/after the process!
