Patriot's Dream Riding Association

Patriot's Dream Riding Association Patriot's Dream Riding Association (PDRA) is a family oriented motorcycle association based in Waynesburg, Pa. PDRA is a 501(c)7 tax exempt corporation.

Patriot's Dream Riding Associating (PDRA) is a family oriented motorcycle club based in Greene County, Pa. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe place for people who love riding motorcycles to have a place to ride and be with likeminded people. PDRA is also an AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) chartered promoting club. Membership in AMA is not required to be a member of PDRA but is highly sugge

sted. PDRA members MUST HAVE a valid motorcycle license, a motorcycle and motorcycle insurance. Members are voted in after a short probationary time which is to allow us to get to know the prospective member. We have built a club where your family is welcome to join (and become members) with you and you can feel reasonably sure that they are safe from undesirable or illegal activity. We have a Code of Conduct that is explained to every prospective member and we expect our members to abide by that Code. Part of that Code is that drinking and drug use at our rides, meetings and events is strictly prohibited. PDRA collects no dues nor initiation fees but at each meeting, we pass a hat and ask members to put into the hat an offering that they feel is affordable. PDRA puts 30% of all un-designated money coming into the club into a Benevolence Fund which is used only for the benefit of people or organizations outside of club activities. Anytime we give money away from this fund, it is voted on by the membership. PDRA has also established a Scholarship Fund and we give a $500 scholarship to a high school senior every spring. We have only on very rare occasions had to have a fund raiser for our club operations. PDRA sponsors a Bike and Car Cruise (Cruisin' for a Cure) and a motorcycle run (Kick Cancer's Ass Motorcycle Run) every May that is used to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Since our founding, PDRA has given away more than $30,000 to the Cancer Society and directly to those afflicted with this terrible disease. During riding season, we have a Thursday evening dinner ride and a Sunday afternoon ride every week (weather permitting) for those who want to participate. We also offer two weekend trips to our members every year. These trips are discussed early in the year so that anyone wanting to go can prepare. Over the last few years we have also offered longer, 10 day trips to New England and the Grand Canyon in Arizona to those who wanted to participate. We also have a spring and fall ride and we will participate in rides sponsored by other clubs and organizations. PDRA is a democratically run organization with every member having an equal vote on club activities and a majority rule. PDRA has six, yearly elected officers that take care of administration and run the meetings. Meetings are the 2nd Saturday of every month at 6:00 pm at Sorella’s Pizzeria in Mt. Morris, Pa., visitors are always welcome to attend. If you ride and are looking for a group like this and want more information, feel free to contact our president. Tom Ayres
