Do you have what it takes to make people scream?

Maynor Creek Fire is looking for volunteers to help scare at the Wayne County Haunted Chicken House this Halloween season! Whether you’re a seasoned actor or just love Halloween, we’d love to have you join the team.

🩸 No experience required—just bring your energy and your best scare!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser today! Whether you preordered your plates or simply stopped by to grab one, your support means more than you know.

A special thank you goes to each of our members who gave their time and effort to make today a success. From preparing everything behind the scenes, handing out plates, and helping throughout the day, to getting out into the community and spreading the word—your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed.

Bring the kids out to our fundraiser! We’ll have a jump house set up for them to enjoy, and we’ll even have our fire engine on display for the kids to check out and explore.

Parents, you’re more than welcome to stay, visit with friends, and enjoy some fellowship while the kids have fun. We can’t wait to see everyone and appreciate your support of our department!

Our chicken plate fundraiser starts serving at 11:00 AM. If you haven’t gotten your plate yet, there’s still time—we’ll have extra plates available while they last!

The day is almost here! If you ordered chicken plates, pickup will begin at 11:00 AM tomorrow at the Maynor Creek Volunteer Fire Department Station.

💲 If you have not already paid for your plates, payment will be due at pickup.

Didn’t get your order in? No worries! We’ll have a limited number of extra plates available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

🚨 4th of July Safety Reminder 🇺🇸🔥

As we celebrate Independence Day, we want everyone to enjoy the fireworks, food, and family—but also stay safe.

📞 Call 911 immediately if you see:
• Fireworks starting a fire in grass, woods, home, or vehicle
• Anyone injured from fireworks (burns, eye injuries, bleeding)
• Heavy smoke or flames that are spreading
• Brush fires getting out of control
• Downed power lines or dangerous situations
• Anything that feels unsafe or out of control

🚫 Don’t try to handle dangerous fires on your own. Fires can grow in seconds, especially in July heat.

🇺🇸 Celebrate safe. Protect your family. Protect your community.

As temperatures continue to reach dangerous levels, our volunteer firefighters are responding to emergency calls and fire scenes in extreme heat conditions. These men and women often spend hours working in heavy protective gear while battling fires and protecting our community.

To help keep our firefighters safe and hydrated, we are asking for donations of:

✅ Gatorade/Powerade
✅ Cooling towels or cooling cloths

These items will be kept on hand and used at fire scenes to help prevent heat-related illnesses, reduce fatigue, and allow our firefighters to safely continue serving our community.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your support helps ensure that those who answer the call for us have the resources they need to stay healthy and safe while protecting lives and property.

These donations can be dropped off at the Wayne County E911/EMA Building located at 818 Chickasawhay Street.

Thank you for supporting our volunteer firefighters and helping us take care of those who take care of our community.
